has anyone taken the CISA exam remotely? what was your experience? I’m nervous something will go wrong or I’ll look offscreen and be accused of cheating or something absurd.

Hello, Looking for Senior Consultant/ Lead advisory role. Having 6+ experience in Information security. Certification in CISA, CISM and AWS CCP

Some brief background, I graduated with my Bachelor's in IS and accepted a position at PwC in risk assurance (IT audit). I hope to get the cisa this year. I was curious what my exit ops are. I know typically it's industry IT audit. But curious about other lines of service, either at PwC or another big4. Do I need a CPA to work in other lines of service and what should I focus on to transition as soon as possible?

How many decide to give up on extra non-CPA credentials (e.g., CISA, CIA) they’ve earned because they are too lazy to complete the annual CPE reporting every 3 months period or pay the renewal fee? Is there a good way to reference lapsed credentials to get some kind of “credit” for getting them in the first place?

If you are taking the CISA remotely and need to go to the bathroom, do they allow that? Haha 4 hours is a long time!

Hello, I am currently looking to leave EY. I have a side business which takes up all my free time. I have 7 years of experience, MBA, CISA, PMP and would like to move to a company where I’m strictly working 40hrs ( or less 🙃) so I can focus on my side business. Currently in the DC AREA so looking to make above $150k Any recommendations? (Great maternity benefits would be a plus!)

As an accounting major does it look bad to not have a cpa... really struggling. Mainly cause my heart just isn’t in it. I want to risk consulting or it assurance and potentially work towards my cisa. But since I have an accounting degree I feel as though it’s going be look down on if I don’t do my cpa.

Failed the CIA part 2 exam. First time In my life I ever failed something I throughly prepared for. A good thing to remember for all of us studying for these exams CIA CPA CISA whatever.

I’ve been doing IT audit work for the past 3 years and I have my CISA. Thinking of leaving the big 4 to some cyber roles. Anything I can do to look more attractive to companies with my background? I’m a little hesitant in taking CISSP though since I have an Accounting background and don’t have much knowledge about cyber security in general.

I used to be a software developer and currently work as a tech risk consultant (CISA, CRISC certified). Have completed a couple of cyber courses but do not have prior cyber experience. Most cyber sec job postings require prior experience in cloud, aws, devops etc. Applied to a couple of roles but no avail.
A) Can I start a career in cyber security without prior experience?
B) Will CISSP or relevant cyber certifications help?

What methods, tactics, and resources did you use when studying for the CISSP exam? So far I've read both the 11th hour and ISC guide. Looking to sit for test around early December. Already passed the CISA and Security +.

I’m from Java Development background and have over 10y of experience. I want to switch my career to InfoSec or Cybersecurity. Already have Net+, Sec+ and CySA+ planning to do CISSP and CISA and I hope will be able to get full certifications as I have worked in few domains as part of development to secure the applications. I m expecting mid role in sec as I don’t want to sacrifice my current salary. Could you guys please share your experience and guide me to how to proceed with the path??

Does anyone know how many questions you have to get right out of 150 on the CISA exam to pass? I know you need a 450 out of 800 to pass but I am wondering how it is calculated by percentage

I am looking for some advice or opinions to apply for consulting jobs right now. I currently work at a mid-sized/regional firm, but plan move to a different city later this year. I have ~4 yr xp working on system implementations, IT policies/controls, and BPO, but my undergrad GPA wasn't the best (I did become a CPA and CISA though). Should I try to apply to big 3/big 4? Stay mid-sized? Get an MBA or Masters? Move and pray? Thanks in advanced for any comments!
