Im a MBA holder and currently pursuing CISA. It's been awhile since I have started to have high interest in pursuing a career as IT auditor. Anybody here would like to refer me into any Big 4, very open for entry positions.

A friend of mine is looking for Experienced level roles within IT risk assurance/IT audit/Cyber & can relocate within US. He has 6 years experience with SAP implementations including S/4 HANA and GRC solutions and has worked closely with external & internal auditors during this time. He is doing a MS in MIS graduating in June 2022 and is currently interning as an IT auditor for a pharmaceutical company. He is certified in AWS and Azure & preparing for his CISA exam. Choosing a specialty? How do you decide what to specialize in? I love learning about all the different areas of IT and various platforms used - how did you decide what to specialize in? Have about 6 years experience and CISSP/CISA doing IT audit work. Thinking of focusing on cloud or data privacy, but what other opportunities do you see as prime areas for specialization? IAM? I’m going on 10 YOE (3 at Big 4, 4 at regional, going on 4 in industry) and looking to transition to a M level role but still IA. I don’t currently hold any certifications, but recently finished up an InfoSec MBA and am working towards a CISA. Is this cert. just as acceptable as a CIA or am i creating more work for myself since some companies are fine with just the mba and experience…. Any insights would be great!

How much time did you put into studying for the CISA?

I want to switch from IT Audit to Cyber. Have my CISA and working as a First year Senior at a Big4. What certs can I get to break into cybersecurity considering I only have FAIT and external audit experience?

For those that taken the CISA, what are your thoughts on the exam?

I need to pass the CISA in the next 3 months. Tips and study programs suggestions?

I’m using pocket prep premium for CISA over the past 2 weeks. I’m 425/600 Q’s into bank. I’ve logged 6 hours of testing so far, with a weighted average of 83%. My goal is to continue taking tests until I have 100% accuracy on all 600 Q’s which should maybe take about 3-5 more hours of testing. Then I’ll take 1-2 150 question practice tests to make sure I’m averaging in the 90-80%. For anyone that’s prepared for the test using pocket prep, do you think I’ll be okay to sit for the exam?

If my hola is to be VP of internal audit, would CISA+CPA+CIA be helpful? Any other certification that would be helpful?

Confused between the below, pls suggest the right way
Deloitte India 12.5 lpa (Assit Mg role) + 1 JB + VP - ITGC Audit.
Crisil 14 lpa (Audit Exe) + 50k JB + 18 VP
Wipro (Axis Bank client) 15.5 lpa (Senior audit exe) +1VP Process Improvement role
Monetary aspect is important but dont want compromise on learning as well.
Del has asked me to get CISA cert within 4-5 months.

Anyone out there have CISA certification? What skill do you pair it with? I saw CPA CISA is good - I’m not a CPA but am in Another compliance area but also heavy with data and automated controls. Seems easy enough to get one… but wondering if/how you’ve found it useful in marketing yourself. Thanks!

Has someone transitioned to industry from IT audit? I'm literally taking screenshots and documenting all the time, doing nothing technical. Will it be possible to get s job in industry offering 125k with CPA+CISA after a couple of years of experience?

I currently work in a Chief Internal Auditor role. I want to get a certification focused on IT audit both for knowledge, gaining credibility with my stakeholders in the IT audit space, and for when I look for a new role. I don’t have / won’t be able to get sufficient IT audit experience for the CISA designation at this stage. What designations, courses, or other options would you suggest?
