FYI, new Chase Sapphire Reserve and Preferred offers are available online and in-branch as of today.

CSP is 80K UR with $4K spend + $50 grocery statement credit. First year annual fee is waived if you apply in branch.

CSR is 60K UR with $4K spend.

Any benefit in downgrading my CSR and switching to the Amex Platinum?

Not really an investment question but more so money managing strategy of travel..

Planning to book flights via my chase reserve card. The flight booking itself does not have any refund policy after the first 24 hours. Question is if i book via my CSR card and have to cancel for whatever reasons will it be covered? I understand if there is an emergency then might be easier and i have read CSRs website on this. My concern is more so if the COVID cases or so increase and i decide not to fly

Anyone here have both CSR and Amex Platinum? Is it ridiculous to have both? I've got CSR but am tempted by the 125k bonus offer from Amex. Both high fee cards, but at least with CSR I figure $300 of it comes right back in travel credits.

Since the Chase Freedom Unlimited gives 3% cash back on dining, does that mean you get more UR points that way vs. using the Chase Sapphire Preferred?

I’ve had the same credit card for 5 years now. Bank of America Travel Rewards. Not a big fan. I’d like a card that I can get points or rewards for things like dining out, groceries, gas, etc. Travel rewards isn’t a huge deal to me since I’m industry now. Any recommendations? I see a lot of people liking Amex Gold and Chase Sapphire Preserve.

I have a CSP which I am thinking of downgrading to sapphire or Freedom. I have had this card for 2 years, can I do a double dip on CSR and CSP with the new upcoming 60K+80K points offers? Any suggestions on why I shouldn’t be doing this or how to do this better ?

Has anyone tried the chase sapphire dining room experience at Per se? If and how is it different from the regular dining room? The per se website lists the same price (not points) and menu. Chase website doesn’t mention this

I have -$4k due to a refund on my Freedom Unlimited and about -7k pts ($70-$100) due to this on the rewards portal. I use the CSR card to get ultimate rewards for context.

Should I (1) take the cash as a deposit into my debit and never use the card, (2) use the card and just pay it off or (3) take the cash and cancel the card and then re-open it? Does anyone know any other cards that contribute to the Ultimate Rewards?

Credit Card Bonus Question: I have a big purchase tomorrow (medical). Is there anyway to get quick approval on a card with a good bonus AND have access to the CC number for the purchase? The only thing I can think of is an upgrade for my Chase Sapphire preferred to reserve. Did this with my AMEX card and it was the same number, different pin, but was able to use old physical card towards bonus until new card arrived.

I am currently working for Deloitte USA. I got a transfer offer to Deloitte Canada office. I have 2.5 years work experience and a bachelors degree. When i was calculating my CSR score for express entry it came to be around 418, assuming I’ll score the highest band in IELTS. Does anyone know if Deloitte Canada does LMIA for transfer hires like me? I am not sure if having a job offer helps unless the company files for LMIA.

I have a job offer from Deloitte Canada. Been working in the Deloitte US firm for 2.5 years. I am married and when i checked my CSR for express entry, I didn’t get a high score. Does Deloitte canada file LMIA for someone they hired from the US firm? Should i worry about Express entry at all when i have a valid job offer? Please give me some advice.

If I downgrade my CSR (in order to re-apply & get the bonus, since I'm past the 48-month mark), will the Visa Infinite Concierge cancel my pending requests (i.e., restaurant reservations they're planning to name for me as soon as those open)? Or will they keep them & I just need to give them the new card info once I get it?
