I prefer to fly with Southwest and I’ve been thinking about getting a credit card for travel. Should I get the Chase Southwest card or would it be better to get something like Chase Sapphire?

Want to go from CSP to CSR and get the bonus points. I understand I need to downgrade my CSP to a Freedom card and then apply for the CSR, but what happens to my existing Ultimate Rewards points when I do that? And folks who have done this - did you do it all remote yourself or did you go talk to someone at the bank?

I live near Newark (EWR) a United hub and only have a CSR which is a United transfer partner. I travel a few times a year for work internationally (I get to put expenses on my CSR). I’m wondering if I should try to book only Star Alliance airlines so I can have the United Points and Chase Points to transfer or if I should fly SkyTeam and get the Delta points as Delta’s points program is rated higher at the TPG Awards. Also open to other ideas.

Got targeted for Amex platinum 100k. Is it worth it? Is there a higher targeted offer?

Amex corporate green card or CSR? I’m not seeing many benefits to the Amex and I’m wondering whether I should just stop paying the annual fee and apply for CSR instead and get reimbursed for business expenses from that card. Considering I can only put business reimbursable expenses on the Amex, it’s not accumulating points very fast. Would I be better off consolidating my points on CSR? Amex platinum doesn’t seem like the right move for me right now.

Open CSR last year in feb, paid 550 and now again have been charged $550. I have not been using the card as much and do not plan to travel. Is it worth keeping this card?

Change my mind: the CSP (2x travel) paired with the CFU (3x dining) is effectively as good as the CSR but with a lower fee. By combining the two above, the math on the CSR breakeven changes.

For those of us that have to expense everything on the corporate AMEX, is it better to get a personal Platinum Amex over the Chase Sapphire?

I received the CSR bonus on my Feb 2017 statement. I downgraded to CFF on Friday and today was approved for a new CSP. They wouldn’t approve my CSP app if I wasn’t bonus eligible, right?

I have CSR, CSP, and Freedom. Have had them all for many years. Feel as though this isn’t optimal.

What is optimal in terms of downgrading, reapplying for sign up bonuses, etc.

Anyone have experience they can share with CSR purchase protection benefit? Someone stole several packages from my building (left behind the empty boxes). I’ve already filed a police report and just trying to get a sense of how this will work and whether I’ll really be able to recoup the ~$600 value stolen.

My renewal is coming up for CSR, my role moved 100% remote with no travel planned. Im going to call in to downgrade to CSP, but have people had any luck getting the renewal for CSR waived lately?

First 2 years for CSR is about to be over, and I’m looking at the value of the card against the annual fee. Combined with my other cards (Chase Freedom Unlimited & Flex) and deducting the $300 travel fee, the net benefit is $76. Is that enough to justify keeping the card? The lounge access at airports were a nice benefit, never got to use it since my client travel was through Amtrak.

Credit card 💳 question...thinking of getting:

+ Chase Freedom for 5% on travel
+ Chase CSR for 1.5X multiplier

I am back on the road, so will have more than enough spend to hit the bonus point threshold for both cards.

Any better thinking on how to maximize points/ 💰💰💰?
