Question on credit cards. I’m 23 and have a solid credit score (790) because I was an authorized user on a parent’s card; however, I do not have “credit history” and was therefore denied when applying for the chase sapphire preferred card. Suggestions on what card I may be eligible for / how long it will take to be able to qualify for chase sapphire preferred?

Did I see that there’s a CSR (not preferred) deal with 100k points being offered right now? I see the preferred with 100k but I feel like I saw something about the CSR with 100k and would like to find out if that’s true/how to access the deal

I have held chase sapphire reserve for about 4 years. Anyway i can take advantage of the 100k bonus being offered for chase sapphire preferred right now? I am more than willing to downgrade or cancel my csr card. TIY!

My Lyft Pink membership via Chase Sapphire Reserved expires tomorrow. Do I need to manually cancel it or will it just expire and pass?

Is the Amex platinum worth it? Pretty new and never experienced the old travel lifestyle - now unsure of whether to go for an amex platinum / gold or chase sapphire or reserve. Any advice welcome please!

Do you think the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card is good for someone just out of college (22)? I currently have the old/discontinued version of the Chase Freedom card. They seem to have a pretty good deal but I wasn’t really sure how cards with annual fees work. After the huge initial bonus, do you think it would end up costing me money? New to this and just looking for advice. I’m moving soon and will definitely be spending 4k in the next couple months.

I have an old chase freedom card which I guess doesn’t exist anymore. Should I change to the freedom flex? Currently put travel/dining on CSR, use Freedom for the quarterly 5% categories, and put flights and everything else on Amex. I don’t think it makes a difference if I’m only using it for the 5% right?

AMEX Platinum vs CSR - which to choose? A few things:
- Marriott member
- Denver based (centurion lounge)
- moving to Accenture so will be booking hotels on a personal card

Are you required to use the corporate AmEx issued by McKinsey or can you use a personal card? Debating whether to upgrade to the corporate AmEx platinum or get the CSR for travel. Any thoughts/advice would be much appreciated

Got approved for Chase Sapphire Preferred on June 1, just saw the news that Chase increased the bonus to 100K (up from 80K) on June 4. Any way I can get the bank to give me the new bonus? Tips on how to voice this request to customer service?

I received my CSR Bonus (50K) in April 2018 but my card was closed by Chase in July 2018 since I was a victim of CC fraud and they decided to close it with no rationale. Would I be eligible for the new 100K CSR bonus? I have high credit and wouldn’t have issues getting approved for a new card. Thoughts?

Chase Sapphire Preferred vs Reserve, which one is better? CSP is giving a 100,000 point bonus right now. I travel some times but not a ton (once a month or a few times a quarter). I only really eat out weekends too. CSP would be better know those two factors, correct?

For chase sapphire reserve points, I want to hoard and maximize value but with airlines and hotels devaluing lately I’m a bit concerned that deals will be few and far between for the next year. Any reason why liquidating them now via 1.5x credits is a bad idea?

It has been 48 months since I received the previous bonus so I am eligible. However, if I cancel now I wouldn't get the 450 annual fee back. Would you still cancel + get the CSP for the big bonus or keep the CSR?

I’m thinking about getting the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card before heading off to MBA this fall. It’s a steep annual fee but think I’ll be doing a fair amount of travel. Looking to get a new credit card. I’ve been checking out CSR, CSP, and Amex Platinum. Which one is better? I already have 2 Chase cards (Freedom & Freedom Unlimited). If one of the Chase cards are better, can I upgrade one of my current cards instead of getting a new one? Also wanted to note that the bonus for CSP is better than CSR at the moment (80k vs 60k pts)
