I’m interviewing for a Manager position with Guidehouse. All I know is that it will be a 45mn panel with a Partner, Director, and Associate Director. Any insight would be appreciated.

I’ve applied to over 40 jobs since I was laid off in March. Not one click to my portfolio, per analytics. With a family of four, we are being spread thin. Not only is the income desperately needed, but my creative soul needs a release. I would be happy to do typical Art Director work but I’m “over qualified” for that and am never taken seriously when applying for work below CD/ACD. If anyone needs or know of any company needing freelance work, large or small—I’d really appreciate the lead. 🙏

Looking for advice- have FAANG final round (not amz) after 3 rounds already. How do I not mess this up, and what are they looking for? I passed hiring manager interview, case interview and engineering tech screen so far. Next meeting is to meet with eng director and “meet some team members”. Was told to budget an entire day.

What does a good CV *look* like in 2020? Im at strategy director level with lengthy experience in two continents at a top 5 agency and some solid award winning famous work to speak to. I have a foreign friend that is interviewing for a Creative Director role at a big Pharma Agency in NYC. Because he is from South America, I’m gonna Zoom call him to help him practice for the interviw (in English).

Interviewing with a PE for an operations director role (one level below MD). Two questions 1) what’s a good pay range (base, bonus) to target? 2) should I disclose my target pay or is it better to punt it?

A director-level operations role at a PE firm landed in my lap a few months ago. Upon interviewing and learning more about the position, I realized this would be my ideal exit opportunity out of BiG4. I still have one more interview left, but until I get an offer, I’m going to focus my career search on this particular type of role going forward. Got promoted to C this year but still anticipate being underpaid. My director pretty much confirmed that given market conditions. I want to switch jobs to be paid fairly faster. Given I know my value compared to my peers, do I wait until September when promotions go into effect and I’m actually a C to start applying to jobs? I also won’t know my new salary until end of August. Can I negotiate a salary not based on current pay but what I should be at compared to my peers?

Where do ya’ll go to collect market rate for a role you’re applying for? Glassdoor is highly inconsistent for the title in question (e.g., $100k - $350k range). Is there another way to determine the market rate for a InfoSec Director role?

The latter (IMO) is more specialized and demand a higher comp. How do I safely raise this discrepancy with the recruiter and ask for more comp? I did interviews for strategy and ops for Google Cloud! Interviews went pretty well, and even had a casual chat with the team director. The recruiter has come back saying I am a key finalist, but the director wants to evaluate more folks from industry. What’s happening?

Is it normal for a SCREENING interview to be with a member of the team the role will be leading?
