Curious if my salary is in line with industry.

EY MD 🐠 , I’m a newly promoted MD and have a few questions on comp timelines I’m hoping you can help answer since there have been 0 comms to MDs on this 😔:
1. I’ve heard we don’t find out new salaries until mid-Aug with others below PP. Given others new comp doesn’t start until Oct, do you know if that’s when our new comp starts too even though our new titles are already effective?
2. Does the MD rating/comp timeline continue to follow the timeline for others going forward after the first yr?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but what is the typical SALT managing director salary at both a mid-tier and Big 4 in a southeastern market? (Think Atlanta, Raleigh, etc.) Is there generally just a percentage increase going from Sr. Manager to MD or is it more of a once you hit MD you start at "x comp"?

Will be up for a promotion to a corporate finance manager position soon bumping my salary to ~$150k. Is an MBA worth it to continue to grow within corporate finance? I feel like I dont need an MBA to grow at my current firm (looking at the MD profiles) but I dont see myself working here forever. Reason i am hesitant is because of the high tuition of programs and the salary outcomes are similar to what i am already making if i plan to not go into MBB/IB

Is this offer good for someone with 7 years of consulting experience and at the senior Principal level (2 years away from MD). It’s at a pre-IPO fin-tech: $270K base, 30% bonus, $165K equity = $515 total comp. Issue is I make a little more today and all in cash so staying pretty flat- but am looking to leave consulting.

like

Currently SM at Deloitte - well rated - received a decent hike in pay putting me in the upper 200s / close to 300K with bonus included. Considering Slalom vs. Publicis Sapient for a role. What’s the MD equivalent at both companies? I have 22+ years spread between consulting and industry.

Seems obvious to me yet i still must ask to hear out the trade offs…. Non equity tech MD at a specialty business unit at MBB, or MD at a leading system integrator with public equity and significant total compensation increase? Feels like being a true MD and no second rate citizen status supersedes the MBB brand name if you’re not partner track.

Anyone else feel weird that they will likely never make as much as their parents/provide their kids a similar childhood? The odds of making MD/Partner are outright low, and a lot of luck is involved. Statistically it’s likely I’ll fail out around M/SM and peak at that salary forever.

Manager here in Big4 consulting. I enjoy the people I work for, and have an amazing MD and the best flexibility. I should be promoted to SM shortly. I don’t really care for my job but I don’t want to switch jobs b/c my situation is the best it will get (increasing salary and amazing work life balance). My plan is to stay at my company for the next 5 years, save money, get the employer match, and pension with no aspirations of making MD. Just me, or anyone else feel the same?

Hi 🐠! Does Accenture strategy offer stock options/ equity at SM level? Also, what’s the typical vesting period? Would you rather negotiate a higher base or would equity with vesting period be equally cool? Anything else to consider on this topic? ELI5 - Currently work in consulting. Base pay about $250k and last few years have made a cash bonus of approx 30%. Pretty much topped out at the current career level and in the process for a jump to MD. Not expecting that to entail a massive base pay rise but will make things more interesting in terms of equity. Despite the potential promotion seriously contemplating an AWS opportunity. I know recruitment will big up the equity award and base pay is likely to be capped around the 160k mark...

Hello Deloitte PPMD 🐠, I spoke to a D PPMD recruiter recently for possible opps with D. I was told that most of the people at this level will come in as MD, with a possible path to Partnership. Was told that comp is the same.. MDs at D are different then other B4s and they are compensated differently the other B4 and can make $1M or more. Does this sound right to you? I am 25 yoe, at svp level, over 500k tc. Should I even explore an MD role at D? My Preference is for Partnership track. Thanks.
