Question for any EY folks out there - I’m up for becoming MD (Managing Director) at my firm. What is the equivalent at EY and what’s the salary range?

Big 4 partners, can you provide any insights into the Partner v MD decision when you were up? Were you given the option? Can you share the pros v cons, especially from salary and pension standpoint.

What is an MD starting salary at the Big 4? And what is the pension like compared to partner’s pension? MD worth it?

What are base ranges for the “top level” account person (titles range from MD to EVP to SVP)? 15-20 years experience, NYC. Based on research I’m seeing $275k-$325k plus bonus/stock options, looking for inputs. Thank you!

MD (not direct manager) but work alongside them closely knows I’m unhappy and frustrated with role/comp. Has offered to be a reference if needed for external search. Some what rhetorical, but should I trust this person or should I be lips sealed until I find the next seat? Gut leaning toward stfu-ing

Accenture 🐠- has anyone ever asked for and received a primary residence location (PRL) exception? Is there any impact on your pay like a salary adjustment down of moving to a lower COL location?

All the viewpoints here seem to be about equity Partners. How does it differs for an MD? For instance MDs at EY get performance based bonus and higher pay. But it seems like an exec position with higher pay expectations, which I can get at industry. So should I switch firms to get partnership if my current firm can only offer MD to me ? And I want to be partner

I work at a global asset mgmt firm that pays out bonuses in Jan every year. If I transfer to another team internally by the end of this year, would I still get a bonus- based on your industry experience at other major finance firms? I’d think I’ll be fine but in my previous two years, it was the MD of my group and my boss communicating bonus info to me - so not sure how this works. My current boss will also do my 2020 year end performance, not my new boss. TIA

So I get a call from a Deloitte recruiter about an ERP implementation manager position. I interview with 2 SM and 1 Managing Director. The interview went well and recruiter gave me a verbal offer that was lower than my range, we go back and forth and then we finally agreed on salary, signing bonus and start date. Recruiter gets the Managing Director approval and comes back to me saying...

Life / Career Advice: I applied to medical school since my MCAT score was set to expire, ended up getting into 1 program. I also have an opp to join a well funded/well established Healthtech Startup (6 figure salary w/ equity + benefits) as a BD professional. End goal in PE career? Let’s say you make it to MD at UMM shop. How is comp compared to let’s say F500 C-suite? I’d imagine both to be 10 - 30M, but a cushier rise in F500. Am I wrong? Just trying to figure out this giant rush by so many colleagues to the buy-side

Any guesses on how much a tier 1 or 2 (Alix, A&M, FTI, Ankura, etc.) RX Consulting MD makes? Know it’s very different across firms but wondering if 7 figures is out of the question for any of these. Have worked in both banking and consulting, feel like consulting is more enjoyable.... but comp is lower at the junior level. Not sure if this continues at the same gap up the ladder.
