Hi pwc folks. What would be a reasonable compensation for App and Emerging tech Manager role US at Pwc with 12 years of experience. Currently at Accenture. Having a partner round next week. Hoping that goes fine.

Mid-level associate at a mid-size regional insurance defense firm practicing coverage litigation. Salary is capped b/c my firm only does I.D./coverage and has no direct-hire comm clients. Second round of interviews with a comm lit boutique where I would be the only associate with 5 partners. Other than partner track, salary/benefits, and switching from coverage to general comm lit, what qualities of the move should I be thinking about as I weigh my options? I've never worked at another firm.

Anyone know what partner comp formula and trajectory looks like for firms with sizable ECVC practices? Gunderson, Cooley, WSGR, Goodwin, Orrick, Perkins Coie, Silicon Legal, Fenwick, DLA, Latham, etc.

At what point did you start to feel secure monetarily? I broke 100k salary this year only to realize it’s barely enough to save on. My friend is up for partner at Mck and my yearly savings don’t even make his bonus

Marketing VP (media partner side) salary range in NY?

Really liked my job until about six months ago. Really struggling with job satisfaction right now, although nothing substantive has changed. I’m in a good spot compensation wise and for partner track, but also in the prime of my lateral marketability.

Float my resume and take some interviews, or chalk it up to covid fatigue and see what things feel like in 6-12 months?

If I were to switch to PE at a partner or MDP level, how much can I expect to make cash and bonus? Add carry if you have any idea too. Thanks!

Just found out my raise for the year and it’s an increase of 5.6%. It is the raise I would’ve received last year, but then that was halted due to covid and no one got raises. I’m the most senior associate and have been told I’m on partner track, but I think the raise should’ve been higher and am pissed, but I’m also grateful to still have a job with covid. What raises have you gotten and how has covid impacted your compensation? I’m in a mid size insurance defense firm in the PNW.

Is an MD at KPMG strategy closer to a sr director or a jr partner? Interested more in responsibilities than comp comparison.

I accepted an offer from another firm and gave notice to my direct partner on Friday. He asked me to wait a few days as a courtesy before giving notice to the firm’s managing partner. The partner I work for knows several of the attorneys at the firm where I got the offer. He is now coming back to me and saying my current firm will match the salary, offer better hours, better title, etc. Needless to say, I’m torn. How bad is it to walk back on an accepted offer? We are in a smaller legal market.

Looking for insight from 🐠 at Simon Kucher. Had a recruiter reach out and am going to speak with the Head Partner of one of their practices in Atlanta. Curious any feedback on culture, types of projects, comp, opportunity within the firm, etc. How does it compare to big 4 / ACN? Would be coming in at manager or director level.

Midlevel at Midsize. Don’t have great training or resources but hours & culture are nice. Unclear what exits are really available because everyone seems to be on the partner track (I am not). I can retool in BigLaw with a salary boost. I should take it, right?

1st year manager at b4 between staying or zs (associate consult.)

Zs : lower title but higher salary and salary growth. Unsure of avg time to partner. more strategic work than at b4

Big4: 8+ years to partner on avg from where I am, good network within the firm, good wlb

Both would be “new roles” I’m moving internally. From what I can tell I don’t know how much zs will help exit ops outside of pharm.

Option 3:wait and try mbb (I had final round recently, offer to try again in ~5-6 months)

What seems to be a typical age to meet FIRE? Seems like it could be fairly easy to reach by the time you make partner.

Grossly simplified math: on average make 100k salary through 15 year career and save half, 50k per year (monthly investments of $4167), 6% interest rate and you’ll be at 1.15M. Of course huge variance due to many factors but this seems fairly reasonable to me

How much does a big 4 partner make in India? I was having a discussion with a friend and he said that including profit sharing the annual comp goes up to INR 10/20/30 crs for many partners. Is this true?

What’s the compensation for KPMG director in strategy? How long does it generally take to get to partner?

Best way to quit? email? Phone? If I inform my manager should they inform our partner and HR or do I do that? Never had to do this before (first “real” job) so I am nervous. I am also pretty low on the food chain so not sure it really “matters”. I am also expecting a bonus so if I give two weeks before it is paid do I still get it or do I need to wait? Thank you 🐠!

Anyone else slightly frustrated with the lockstep compensation system? Sometimes it’s frustrating to go above and beyond (in absolute and relative terms) with the same immediate reward as everyone else and a 5% or less shot at making partner.

I can’t help but tie my self worth to my title/comp. I started in consulting late in life because I wanted to experience it (late 30s) and realize my personality doesn’t fit with the partner track. Now I’m dreading the thought of applying elsewhere and in a way starting over again. Keep comparing myself to my peers and friends in the same age group and how behind I am. How do I stop?

I am a newly promoted manager (~5months), I'm interviewing for manager at another big 4 (homegrown, so need better comp haha). 1st round was behavioural with a Partner and SM, but final round is with two newly promoted SMs. This doesn't add up. Has anyone had a similar experience? Why would they have more junior people do the final round interview? Thanks in advance!

Hey all. I have an offer on the table from EYP. Total comp at USD 280 including bonus for their strategy group. I'm an ex mck EM who went into a city developer strategy position for the past 2 years. They told me my path to partner would be accelerated as a promise given that there is no salary bump. Any guidance of if this is worth it and if the path to partner acceleration is just window dressing
