Is it still possible for an accountant from a corporate company to work in external audit firm with no huge decline in salary grade? Per my knowledge salary in external audit is very low unless you're a Partner ✌

What is partner compensation like, as a function of the publicly released “profits per partner” data? I assume it varies based on the profitability of one’s practice—but how much does it vary?

I’m an American planning to move to Australia once my offshore partner visa processes. I was in consulting pre-MBA, and I am working as a strategist in industry in San Francisco post-MBA. I don’t miss the consulting lifestyle at all, so I would prefer to stay in industry when I move to Australia. What opportunities are there? Any recruiters I should connect with? And what should my salary expectations be with a San Francisco post-MBA salary?

The recent most billable hours post, inspired me. What is your longest billable day? Mine was 56 hours straight with no break—and the partner was more than a jerk when I was saying no more at the 30 hour point. That was two 24 hour billable days back to back on my time sheet and on the bill, a 360 hour month, and 650 aggregated for two months. And it is one reason (of so many reasons) why this job can suck so much! At least I got a good bonus...

T3 firm reached out re: direct admit to the partnership with some runway to grow the practice. I am at a firm now where there aren’t bright line metrics to make PPMD, but think I could make it in 2-5 years. Bonus. I am a 4th year Associate in a smaller firm (15 attorneys) located in a major city. In 2020, I billed 100 hours over my annual requirement (1,900) and brought on new clients as OA. I received positive feedback in my last review. I was told my bonus is to be $6k. I am grateful to recieve a bonus but I am frustrated with the amount, other firms in my area give out double that w/ lower hours. Discuss this with my mentor partner? Or just let things be to avoid upsetting the partners?

Late last year I complained about a few things to a partner and kinda threatened to leave. He did pretty much everything I asked for and I even got a discretionary bonus in Dec (which I’m sure was because he pulled his strings). Got an offer from a great agency but the salary is actually lower than what I make now.
I currently work at an equally good agency but the crickets are chirping in the opportunity department.

I really want to get a chance to produce good work, but my current agency is known for paying sh*t. I would have to move with my partner to another country to get even less money for a potentially (never know) good gig...

What's the comp for director and sr director at simon kucher? Is it worth getting to partner?

How would you react to a partner saying “I think we pay you too much” as a snide remark because i moved to a nicer apartment than earlier, very well knowing that we have had salary reductions since i joined and, no bonuses (and i worked more than 2000 hours in 10months of joining). I let it slide with a “I really wish”. But it’s still making me so angry because i feel very underpaid.

What are the kind of exits and compensation levels (comp growth trajectory) post McKinsey, Bain, BCG if one exits at Manager level (before Associate partner). Wondering if anyone can share details on how they found exits in non-tech industry. I'm thinking pharma, retail, media etc. I'm interested in understanding what are some good options apart from FAANG.
