For those of you who spent the time and money to get the PHR or SHRM certifications, do you feel that it actually strengthened your professional capabilities as on HR professional, or did you just do it to fit into the “HR Professional” crowd?
After your DEI training what are the other things have you done to fill in the gaps? More training ? A speaker?
What are the best resources for manager or leadership training (course, certificates, webinars, etc)? And is it better to have employees take a course or Internal present the training HR?
Anyone here a member of Revenue Collective? Is it worth it? What kind of value have you gotten out of it if so? Thanks!
Hello, We are a growing company of 250 employees. We are considering Performance Management solutions. I would love get feedback on anyone's experience with any of the below solutions? Kazoo Engagedly Perform Yard CultureAmp Thanks!!
How long do you typically allow for self assessments and manager assessments for year-end? This year we gave employees a week and managers 3 weeks (holidays not included), but they still said it wasn’t long enough even though most waited until the very last day to complete them.
In your experience, which companies have provided the strongest enterprise sales training and methodology?
I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.
Can anyone recommend a certificate or course that is actually useful for developing professionals and/or reviewing performance? I don’t want/need something that is just a credential, I’m actually looking to get some formal grounding in these two topics so I can overhaul processes at my consulting firm. Thanks for your advice!!!
Does anyone have a dashboard or excel template for turnover/attrition where data can be easily “dumped” in for a beautiful display? TIA!
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Spam me with your favorite recruiters. Based in Arizona, need a very experienced Automotive Technician with 10+ years. Any suggestions. A firm that guarantees placement
For anyone who’s started at a company fully remote (Covid or otherwise)… when ramping into your new role, what did you do to feel more connected to your team/sales dept? I’m finding that I have questions that I don’t know how or whom to ask, I don’t know who anyone is and my manager can be MIA. This is my first fully remote role and it’s thrown me for a bit of a loop
Is anyone noticing a trend toward offering part-time or contract roles to reduce risk/cost of bringing on full-time talent?
I’m not happy where I’m at, my abilities aren’t being maximized as I’m spread thin, and I know I’m being undervalued. Recently graduated and in property management w/ 3-4 years sales experience. Currently on the hunt for Sales/Account Management roles leaning more towards consumer goods, then tech. Any advice?
For those of you who worked remotely full time pre Covid, would you recommend it? I feel like during Covid everybody was wfh so that is different, but I have a remote opportunity with a amlaw 50 firm (if that is a thing). It occurs to me that most people at the big firms are likely back in the office and crushing it so I’m a little nervous it’d be a dead end, but damn does 100% wfh with a bigger salary seem like the dream!
What is reasonable salary when taking billable rate into account? I’ve heard one third of billable rate x billable hour expectation. Hoping to provide some back up when I negotiate my raise in January.
On track for promotion to Senior this year... How do I go about talking salary, when do I begin this discussion, and who do I specifically talk to about that?
What are some tech exit opportunities after spending almost a decade in FS. Just starting my search. For people who have recently switched jobs - can you share the firm names? I am currently a senior manager in big 4.
One question - if I am currently (as a European citizen) in the process to get a work visa for the US, would it be a problem if I travel to other countries prior to getting the visa. In my questionnaire I had to answer to gather my personal visa related information I was asked if I have travel plans etc. and I am a bit wary that this would impact my visa application negatively
Anyone care to share salary/bonus range for Manager and Snr Manager at EY OTS? West coast. Thanks!
Has anyone reapplied for a role where they previously got rejected after interviewing? Was it successful?
[Mostly Europeans]: Does anyone have a perspective on Revolut? There are abundant rumors about their culture being super intense and cutthroat - anyone has more insight and can confirm/ deny these? Thanks!
Just received an offer I’m pretty excited about. On H1B with an approved I140 (since 2017). Planning to start at the new company by end of July. Any best practices to keep in mind? Specifically on what to communicate with /ask from the new organization (they are open to transferring h1b), when is it safe to resign from Deloitte, anything around the gc process with the new firm etc.? Thanks a lot in advance 🐠 family!
Currently on my employer’s health insurance plan and contributing to my HSA regularly. But we are having a baby soon and we plan to switch to my husband’s plan for family coverage. Can I still keep my HSA with my current employer and continue making contribution? Will my employer still match my HSA contribution even if I’m no longer covered by their plan?
I’m looking for an epic 🌟 illustrator for a freelance project over the next 2 weeks. It’s for a tech startup in the bay to help define our illustration style for depicting people. Please DM me!
How do you tell your friends that you don’t want to talk about compensation anymore? Background: One of my best friends and I went through undergrad consulting recruitment together and were always talking about offers, salaries, first year bonuses, etc. Now we’re a older and both have partners, I don’t really want to talk about exactly how much our bonuses are or how much money we have in the bank. I thought we’d just grow out of it, but I guess not?
