Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?
Just venting. I’m tech, and many employees (like 85%) think that being a jerk is a badge of honor and their EQ is like at high school level, so talking to them about diversity issues is like banging head against the wall. They insist that any diversity hire is costing a job to another person with PhD. On top of it, another fancy thing to do in tech is to hate HR. So the conversations usually are like “Oh, you’re in HR, I understand now why you have such a stupid opinion”.
Is your company still expecting you to sell like there isn’t a pandemic going on, or is it just mine?
Are you allowing employees to work for any length of time abroad, if you don’t have an office in that country? If so, for how long? If not, do you just say NO upfront?
Do seasoned enterprise reps actually think that MEDDIC helps the sales process? This is coming from the perspective that champions are undervalued and the economic buyer in a F500 company does not usually speak with vendors. The market here is developer tooling. Curious to hear thoughts as many sales leaders use MEDDIC as an inspection tool to manage sales reps with little practical value for deals.
It feels weird posting a LinkedIn post in FishBowl, but I found this post from Jamal very insightful. I would have just copied the text, but I want to give him credit.
Running a 360 process for a company. If one of my managers ask me to provide peer feedback on them - should I?
Hi- does anyone have a good partner review process? Three owners, private firm - trying to provide meaningful review process for them separate from our usual process. TIA!
Tech Salespeople: Free resource that shares what Tech companies are paying their salespeople (you have to add your comp to get access). Dat AWS comp tho 👀👀👀.
Have you ever experienced workplace trauma? If so, how did it impact your personal life and mental health?

I am looking for best practices in reducing anxiety in the workplace, especially for remote workers. What are you all doing?
I’ve been tasked right off the bat with implementing Facebook Workplace as an engagement/communication tool. I looked it up and seems fairly easy, especially as a facebook user. But as with anything it can be a challenge to get employees to actually use/check it. So-- does anyone have experience with Facebook Workplace? If so, what are some things that have worked/didn't work for you. Do you like it?
Anyone have experience using Oura Ring to track sleep? Looking at Oura vs Fitbit to track those night were I waking up dreaming about pipeline, clients, things i needed to do, etc.
It’s great to have an HR forum! Curious what “staying connected” strategies are being implemented to stay in touch with furloughed employees?
MAGA Trumpers - how many more COVID deaths before you boot Trump out of office? At least 200k Americans are dead because of Trump’s lying and criminal incompetence? Excess deaths due to COVID are well north of 270k+ at this point - what we are hearing from CDC is also being sabotaged and manipulated. How do stand such monstrous behavior from an incompetent reality TV star?
Awkward moment: Almost just ended a client phone call with “love you” because I was on my cell and accustomed to talking with my wife... maybe I should call it a day...
Can the Supreme Court do anything to avert or reverse a government shutdown? I’m not an American but curious about the role the last arm of government can play in a gridlock situation
Should I be negotiating my salary in this market? Jr CW fresh out of school. Talking with recruiter to go over details of my job offer on Mon. (Also, is this HR’s authority or my manager’s?)
What steps do you all take to prepare for layoffs (outside of an updated resume)? I’m not really expecting layoffs within my practice (fin services), but want to be prepared so that if it does happen I’m not spending months looking for a job.
Anybody hearing of hiring freezes at their firms? Particularly public accounting and consulting firms?
POTUS declares a National State of Emergency in response to COVID-19. What are your firms responses? Are you planning a response that exceeds that? https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/live-blog/coronavirus-updates-live-dow-plunges-white-house-grapples-spreading-crisis-n1
Will be in NYC tomorrow (midtown East) for the long weekend. Any recommendations of places to go out? Into turn up vibes, brunches etc...
What are the things you should consider before buying a house on H1B: - Job security - Down payment - House location (should be within 50 miles of work location or sth like that) Any other pointers for a noob?
Idk if my H1B will ever get approved on time. I hate my current job. I can’t imagine living like this. Just registered for celpip, but feel like it’s too late anyways. After 9/30 I would have 60 days to leave and that’s just not enough. I don’t have anyone I can talk to. People don’t want to hear my shit. My parents are more fragile than I am I don’t want them to worry. I have no one and feel like an absolute failure. Idk what I’m doing with this life.
