There’s no way to post this without sounding completely asinine but ... I have a few friends from law school who have hung a shingle and started their own firm instead of going the associate route. I am a junior associate at a boutique firm so we practice exclusively in one area of law. My friends are dabbling in various practice areas and have been reaching out to ask me questions about their files (some of which are pretty obvious if they researched the legislation or case law).
