Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
I’m looking for a screening tool that will assess a candidate’s proficiency with MS-Teams. Would anyone know if there is such a thing that exists?
Need to define diverse talent metrics to create a scorecard. Challenge is that the available data is based on opting in/out of self identification, that data point can change dramatically YOY. Any recommendations on metrics and scorecard?
Now that networking events are virtual and limited opportunity for face to face meetings - how are new leads being generated besides website traffic. How do you "network" at virtual meetings and presentations?
Ladies & Gentlemen, with one month left in Q2, some will fall short of our numbers. Others will hit them. I can’t speak for all of us here, however, I can speak for myself. That being said, I will NOT be one that comes up short of my number. Now, this leads me to you all, to present a question. If you have to prospect, if you’re looking for new business, is it worth $1500 to put 95% of your prospecting process on autopilot? If so, let’s chat.
How much value do companies place on HR experience in a specific industry? My thought is that HR is HR wherever you go, and it shouldn’t be difficult to switch industries (e.g. manufacturing to financial services), mid- to late-career. But what has been your experience?
What have you seen work well in terms of internal employee recognition /appreciation programs? Ideas, management, etc.
I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? What skills do you need, or is it really just based on YOE (I am the youngest compared to my teammates, many who have 10+ YOE)? I feel like career pathing is not very clear at my company. Each time I ask for guidance on this from my manager, I get told they’ll look into it.... would love some external mentorship and thoughts 🙏🏼
Any female MM/ENT AEs with SaaS or Fintech experience looking to make a move? Series D company positioned to IPO in 2 years. Would be wild if this works lol
So, I’m currently interviewing for new job, and market is not bad, but I’m anxious and I am interviewing for every opportunity that comes my way (director/vp level, tech). Today, September 30 I received an invite for an initial interview for another opportunity. So I applied to this opportunity through networking on August 10 (!). It looks like a red flag for me and I’m thinking thankyounext, but again it’s covid time... Thoughts?
For those of you who spent the time and money to get the PHR or SHRM certifications, do you feel that it actually strengthened your professional capabilities as on HR professional, or did you just do it to fit into the “HR Professional” crowd?

First time founder - would you recommend square, stripe or something else for purchases between $150-$10k or what alternatively?
I don't understand how staffing works - I am from the BC track and was staffed on an ops project. It's getting harder everyday to justify working now. I used to love getting up in the morning and looked forward to the work. Not anymore though..
I currently have my green card process ongoing with Publicis Sapient; I-485 was filed more than 180 days ago, however, the I-140 is not approved yet. If I leave for another employer at this stage, is it likely that they might withdraw the I-140 which would mean withdrawing the green card process completely? I do have a previously approved EB2 I-140 which was downgraded to EB3 I-140 in October last year and is awaiting approval.
Approx Salary for newly promoted managers in advisory? Currently a 2nd year sr associate - Chicago based
I’m interested in PM and ideally working for a Google however I’ve recently learned that google only hires PMs with technical backgrounds. What’s the next best company nontech people can land a PM role
Senior 2 here. I’m trying to exit from audit into a Sr. revenue accounting role but I’m having trouble sealing the deal. It looks like most companies trying to fill these sort of positions don’t want someone without operational experience - or want someone willing to take a title demotion. I’m really demotivated as it seems like I’m over qualified for a staff role but under qualified for sr. Rev.
I have become a plant parent! Show off your plants!
Have an interview tomorrow and I’m very anxious thinking what if I don’t clear it, after weeks of preparation. Should I relax tonight or practice again again and again?
Thoughts on Home Depot’s Strategic Business Development group? I’m thinking about applying to a senior analyst role.
What is a reasonable asking range for someone with MBA ,13 yoe, m1 at deloitte and tech focused mostly backend. I live in herndon va. Also have ts sci ci poly. I have been asking 180-200 seeing how many federal positions there are. Is 190 a good get or I should push 200? I think with my experience tech development is probably best bet. Did apply to aws but dinged on tpm final due to not a lot of pm experience.
Quit or take a mental health leave? Horrible situation. You wouldn't believe me if I told you how crazy it actually is. Work on the way could change my career path, but a powerful psycho hates me.
How do companies in Europe view T15 MBAs from USA? For instance if down the road I relocate to Europe would a T15 MBA from USA give me a competitive edge? Or its just neutral? Europe doesn’t care.
Has anyone discussed mental health problems with their manager or PML? I want to start going to therapy but idk how I feel about having to explain weekly "doctor" appointments...
Flight is at 10pm from LGA. I’ll be in the Bryant Park area. How far in advance should I uber for my flight today? (TSA pre check if that makes a difference)
