“Litigators fight over their clients’ money and wealth. Transactional attorneys help create their clients’ money and wealth.” Yes? No? Maybe so?
Is year-end an especially busy season for anyone? My accountant friends are losing it. I've always been on the litigation side so curious about the cadence on the transactional side.
Partner: "Are you good at PowerPoint?" Me: "I Excel at it." Partner: "Was that a MS Office joke?" Me: "Word".

I’m seeing some pushback from all levels...partners, employees, clients. Curious about others’ experiences.

I’ve been at a new firm for a couple of months and feel incompetent half the time when I’m explaining something to my new boss. I’m a third year and am usually confident in my abilities, but I feel like a first year again and I’m unsure if it’s the new more specialized practice area, being uncomfortable in a firm where I’m the new kid, or if I’ve regressed practically.
