Rising Star
Wow, you have the problem of plenty.
I would suggest talk to any of your recent good mentors to understand which is a better fit for your strengths.
Oh yes, Congratulations!
Thank you! Good problems to have, agreed.

10 YOE… I think an EMBA program would suit you much better and you’d get much more out of it. You’ll on the far upper end with your YOE… not sure it would be the most beneficial set up learning and networking wise (not to step on anyone’s foot, but the full time programs, in general, have less YOE and less seniority within an org, not sure it would make for a great experience in your case).

They are the same degrees, but same issue. Not sure you’ll get the most out of it. Part-time is very mediocre regarding networking (most people go home right away after class) and weekend, well, at that point you could just got for the EMBA, which makes most sense for you.
Is this real?
And yes.
There is no VP title in the big 4.
I am not currently at a big four (Nor did I say I was)
Big Congrats!
If I were you, I would take Faang - even out of MBA, people want to get to Faang now. Do you really want to take a hefty loan, lose 2 years salary and then do assignments and do same interviews at D or Fang?
The fang offer seems equal to D and guarantee of better culture and wlb at fang. There are so many SMs at D who crib how it's the worst spot to be in.
Also equity can grow and multiply.
This is exactly what I’m thinking. Equity guaranteed is also a lot better than bonuses at Deloitte so yes, avg partner at D makes 1million but I also wonder what equivalent makes at a tech company (while not having to get on a plane every three days)
I thought FAANG would be higher for a Senior Program Manager? More like 200K base plus 100K annual equity.
D2- I’m hoping I can negotiate a bit by leveraging offers but I would assume movement will be reasonable and still in the same ballpark.
This is insanely impressive. I would pick FAANG as that is my end goal now. Hopefully I can get there by 32 as well
What's your undergrad degree? If you already have a business undergrad, don't do b-school, you won't learn anything you haven't learned in 10 years at D and in business. And it doesn't sound like the degree will increase your salary to offset two years of lost income and the out-of-pocket costs. Do not assume that FANG is going to be a better WLB. The people I know in FANG companies work A LOT of hours. You won't have to travel but long days and weekends could be in your future. D has the best long term salary opportunity if you think you can make P in ~5 years.
Good insights here
Awesome - congratulations! I’d take one of the FAANGS and see what you think in a couple years - those others doors won’t be closed.
Very hard to make p in a new place in 5
I would be boomeranging back to the org so it’s new-ish. But sure, 6-7 years even.
I’d go with FAANG, and Congrats!
Thank you!
I'd go with faang and a part-time MBA on the east coast
SC4 - yes that’s true regarding that little of a stipend. I believe a few forms offer 5-10k per year, but sadly an MBA is 250k now.
Congratulations!
What’s your primary motivation for MBA? You will be going back by 600k-1M in your total net worth (including opportunity cost) if you take MBA path. Are you ready for same?
FAANG and D will provide different experiences, WLB and exit opportunities. You are already familiar with D. So, no surprises there. Everyone on FB has been going crazy with FAANG offers. You should talk to someone to get better idea about path there.
I won’t worry much about total comp as they look very similar. Additionally, based on you posts it doesn’t seem that few thousands here or there will make significant difference.
Personally, I will go for FAANG, then B4 as I already have B4 experience and then MBA. Meantime, I will pick up very specific executive courses to broaden my skill sets.
I did 1 year MBA with 8YOE and it was the best experience. Definitely speak with some people who know you well to make a decision on what’s best for you as a person.
Career wise short/medium term MBA won’t help too much rn, although network changes long term prospects IMO

You will likely take 5-7 years to make P at D unless you have a substantial network there. I know quiet a few 6th year SMs...even homegrown ones...
my personal order would be
4, 3, 2, 1. That FAANG offer is above what the average MBA sees even two years post school...
That’s good advice. I’m leaning towards FANG due to exit ops Alaric’s even from an Ivy. I would be boomeranging back to D so I do have substantial network including partners etc. so long term I might make more money at D if I can make partner :/
For the experience? B school at Columbia then NYU.
If you’re ready to chill/coast/retire, FAANG.
If you want to make $$ now/ASAP probably Deloitte (would you really make partner in 3-5 years though)
Wouldn’t mind meeting a hedge fund manager in New York 😉😉 but no, I applied Bc it was a lifelong dream to attend an Ivy and I went to a nontarget southern undergrad.
And no, I do not have 300k cash saved to buy this degree outright - I would need loans.
What is the FAANG interview process like?
Can your firm pay for Columbia?
Mck1 - is that personal experience? If so which big 4 company?
Do what makes you HAPPY! if you care about WLB, do that. Don’t take on more debt if not needed. If you wanna be a slave to your job, then go that route. But my advice is always to do what makes you most happy at the end of day, cause that’s all that really matters.
Would you be joining Commercial or GPS Deloitte? Asking because they are very different experiences.
Absolutely. Either way, congrats - whatever you choose, your future is bright!
