A friend pinged me today saying PwC is remote rest of the year. Can anyone confirm/deny?

Meanwhile at Accenture our leadership cannot seem to wait to be back in office 😂

Not true, your friend is lying
They said they would follow local guidance and the first wave will significantly reduce ppl in office to allow for social distancing

like

Offer at the moment have not been rescinded, still moving forward with all offers including interns as of now from what I have heard.

Our leadership has been quite clear about continuing to work remote OP.

like

Serious question, OP. Why do think Accenture leadership wants to get back to the office? Is there an email that wasn't clear? A Town Hall that implied this?

like

Because I keep getting emails with returning to office plans in the title or first paragraph. Returning to office is literally the last thing on my mind right now so just seems odd to keep getting comms about it

like

The point of those emails (if you had bothered to read them) is that regardless of how quickly some states start phasing out their shelter-in-place orders, we are going to proceed cautiously in terms of returning to normal from a travel /office perspective.
As in, the exact opposite of what you said in your original post.

I feel like my employer thinks I’m losing my shit.

I started traveling while working remote and fell in love with the mountains. I’m now applying to be a full time remote employee and fear they won’t approve it.

I feel like I have to defend that I’ve found more in life that makes me happy than just work.

How do I pitch that I need to live elsewhere for my happiness and not near an office?

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Sounds at least toxic.

Does anyone recommend working in high pressure better salary(WFH IC Engineer role in a relatively big Financial services firm, but working hands of on many things that builds pressure) vs

job 2 or atleast offer (Senior Manager 3 days a months in office( Banking firm) minimum, people manager for 24/7 infra operations teams and new project)taking a salary cut of 8k in base and with better WLb( hr) says so in interview. I am too confused. On job security we all know we can't guarantee anything.

What’re the various agencies/components’ return to office dates (if announced)? And what’re the remote work policies after that date? I hear DOJ said their individual components will decide when exactly to return between mid-March and early May and some are offering a lot of remote flexibility even after then. Curious to hear more details though, both for specific DOJ components and other agencies!

Hi fishies,

It would be really helpful if I could get referral from you guys.

Hello! I recently applied for a Travel Procurement Senior Manager role at PwC (role is in NYC and I’m not NYC-based but I believe certain roles can be primarily remote). I have 5+ years of experience in this field and the description/company culture seem like a perfect match to what I’m looking for. Are there any fish from PwC and/or their talent acquisition team that can provide a reference post-submission and insight on the hiring process? Thanks!!

Just got a job at Deloitte M&A in Atlanta and am currently looking to buy a house. Would you advise I buy closer to Atlanta or the suburbs? I personally want to be in the suburbs but I hear the traffic situation is quite bad. Current consultants in Atlanta, how much time do you actually spend in the office vs remote vs client site? Would you advise I try and stay closer to the office?
