I worked as external payroll for 1 year then I became permanent employee of organization was working. When i was a fresher my salary was below tax slab so my external exployer did not generate any form 16 for me. When tried to switch my new organization wants me to submit form 16 as BGC process. Will my offer get reverted?Cognizant Tata Consultancy HCL Technologies Accenture

Go!!
Haha, a very definite response. Thank you :)
Very strange that they told you it’s rare for an AE to move into a JS role - not sure if it’s different in the UK, but in the US that’s how many of us (myself included) made our way into strategy!
The best way to get into strategy is to get the experience - and while it does take time, you should be able to do so in an environment/agency that gives you what you need to develop your skills and believes in your path to get there. I agree with Copywriter 1, go for it!!

This makes no sense. A Junior Strategist could start in strategy straight out of college or an internship. So why do you need several years training as an AE? They’re having a lend of you.
I think we all fear we’ll regret the culture loss when we leave a job with people we like, but it sounds like your current job’s SLT is holding you back. The best way to get experience imo is to jump fully into a role. Not just for the work experience, but for the boss who can guide your growth appropriately. By doing the work of a JS with the title of an AE, your team is preventing you from hopping jobs. If things got bad at your current agency in a year or so, you’d find that they held you back from a position you wanted by not having the experience required on the job application. Their “process” of transitioning people to strategy after years in an AM role feels silly and almost underhanded when you think of how it benefits them. The work of two people with one lesser paying title. Less likelihood for you to hop because your CV doesn’t show experience by title. Imagine finding your dream spot that you’re perfectly qualified for and recruiters not even looking at your work because you’re an AE on paper.
I wish I made more decisions for my career early on rather than for leadership who dragged their feet over many promises. Only you will look out for your professional best interest— took me way too long to learn this!
This was really helpful. You’ve also voiced concerns that I didn’t let myself voice out loud. Thank you ❤️
There was a time when there were no “strategists” and “planners.” It was the account person who provided strategy.
Fair enough
A quick update for anyone who cares to know 😅 but I’ve accepted the offer! Thank you for all the advice and encouragement in this thread 😊 Haha, I’m finally going to be a Junior Strategist 💃🏼
Congratulations! Fantastic move. Good luck and enjoy.
Go. Anomaly will teach you to be a better strategist anyways.
GO GO GO!
It’s not rare at all. You should go.
Take it! Moving from account to strategy is not in any way unusual.
Go follow your dreams. If the opportunity is there, walk through the door.
This is a no-brainer. Anomaly is a better agency, especially when it comes to strategy. This move will open so many more doors for you down the road. Run towards it.
Please go! It really is a no brainer per all the comments above.
Go for it! Not only because of the reasons stated but also because M&C Saatchi is shady as hell. Their accounting scandal should tell you everything you need to know about how that agency operates.
