Building relationships on a new team can take time. It'd be weird if you came in and they immediately trusted you as much as people they've been working with for years.
Give it a bit. High chance you'll feel differently about the dynamic in a few months.
You’re right. That makes sense.
Yeah I might give it a yr and reassess.
Yeah in advertising I feel like that’s pretty normal. If it’s unbearable do it.
I was in an independent agency before this job and didnt work with these kind of people I work with now.
Not sure how many times you’ve hopped agencies, but I’d say buyers remorse is common. You want the new gig to be so much better than your last, and when it isn’t immediately amazing (combined with missing friends and familiarity) you feel sad.
I’d also say that feeling taken for granted is very common too. We all feel it. And often it’s true. While sometimes it’s because we have unrealistic expectations of praise for “just doing the job”.
Not saying the above to discredit how you feel (trust me, been there)…but I find it helpful to take a few big steps away and gain more perspective. Especially because you don’t want to be bailing on a good job in the economy that is/will be about to be volatile.

If you can get the same or more money, why not?
Depending on your age, money is worth a whole lot more than some credit
Take the money!
Don’t let people steal your ideas. You should get credit for them. Not for someone else to get promoted off of
I’ve done two stints at Publicis - 2007-2011 and 2021-2024. Great both times, but my second time it took almost 8 months to really feel a solid part of the team. Like you said, everyone is nice, but there’s always a clique and always some sneaky person to be wary of (stealing ideas, taking undue credit, etc.) and sometimes it’s the same people. Really it’s normal at any job/company and a good learning experience on how to be successful when dealing with challenging people. However, there’s also a limit for how long you put up with the bs. I’d give it a year.
Yeah the job situation in our industry is terrible and too risky. I hope things improve and gel for you. What city are you in? I’m in Atlanta and each office has its own vibe too.
