PwC India Hi Folks, I left my stable job at Deloitte USI and moved to Germany for a better job. But my mom had a major health issue and I'm planning to travel back to India to support her as I'm a single child. I'm working in one of the top organisation in Germany with a base of 90k euro and looking for good opportunities in India. Varies wildly between agencies. I’d say anywhere from 110-160. But also, LA is super saturated with creatives right now. Took me forever to find another gig. Good luck out here!
LA is only more expensive than nyc if you want to be one of those venice people. I lived in a 1500ft place in mar vista and paid 1000 less than what I pay to live in bk
Just because your personal experience doesn’t align with it, doesn’t change that it is a literal economic fact that cost of living is higher in NYC.
^ as a freelancer in LA who worked 8 months last year I made $180k. Sounds like being a staff ACD is a shit job. And yes, the cost of living in LA is worse than NY.
Lol at EP2 thinking la cost of living is worse.
AD1 as a NY to LA transition transplant I found LA more expensive than NY too. If you live on the west side where all the agencies/shops are rents are higher than most areas of NY. Plus you have a car payment, car insurance and gas which you don’t have in NYC.
^ how long ago was that? Also - car payment and car insurance in LA. Like EP 1 said.
With LA, city matters. Sure you can find a place for decent rent but you may be in a terrible/boring/unsafe/far away neighborhood. Location matters so much here because traffic sucks.
Says the person who dropped “bruh”.
Still not worse. LA has a larger surplus of affordable housing. Which is the way you determine cost of living. Of course there will be places that might be more expensive. But the city overall requires less income to live in.
My rent in LES was $2000/month. It was $3000/month in Santa Monica.
AD1 one rich hipster neighborhood=one rich hipster neighborhood. There are stats and then there is first hand experience. You seem unnecessarily aggressive bruh.
You shouldn't be paying more than $2k to live in a nice 1br in la. Santa Monica, Venice or Marina del Rey in a luxury complex will go up to $2600-$3k but otherwise there's plenty in Mar Vista, palms, culver city etc for less.
120-200+ depending on your book
Comparing LES to Santa Monica is apples to oranges.
AD1 - when is the last time you lived in LA? What neighborhood? Which agency?
AD1 correction: roid raging bruh.
