Advisory Board Q’s - Hi all, I was recently approached about an opening on an academic Advisory Board. I have never been on one. I’m assuming it will be uncompensated, which I am fine with— I love the purpose of the specific program. Q’s are, what are general commitments for these types of roles? Typical responsibilities? I am a Senior Project Manager for a custom estate builder. We build homes over $50mm in construction costs for the ultra wealthy. I have been with this firm for 15 years and make $350K annual. There is only one partner and the sole proprietor who is essentially retired. They split ~$5MM in profits per year. I have reached the limit on title / career progression in my company - nowhere upwards to go. I highly doubt they will ever partner anyone else into the business. Do I leave?
