Do stubs typically tip their EA too, or is it after your first full year?
@OP, stub year is the class that starts in the fall, the true first years. Right now, the stub class is the Class of 2021 (and people who came out of clerking and started with the Class of 2021). EA is executive assistant/secretary depending on your firms terminology
Yes, I think in NYC market $100 per year is standard.
If you’re a junior associate would you give a holiday gift to a paralegal? I’ve worked a lot with one who has seriously been wonderful- would you give them cash or an actual gift?

I always did $50 per class year starting at $100. It was always well received (and my PA would have said something - in a nice way - if I was way off base). Not in NY.
