You won’t see many people that enjoy their jobs on these kinda apps. Happy and content people don’t waste their time reading peoples’ venting or how it is at other firms- which is what this app/bowl is for.

So if you’re looking for evidence of content fund accountants, your results will be skewed. They’re at the bar or some other fun place on a Saturday lol.

Meh. I have zero plans of leaving my current role. I am content.

Hi Deloitte OP can you tell me about your FA experience? I audit funds at EY. Everyone says FA is pidgeonhole and salary is capped. Would love to hear your compensation, hours, how many times a week you go to office. Etc. appreciate a dm if possible. Thank you sm in advanced.

I’m actually in fund accounting and I love it lmao. Just tryna find like-minded people. But you’re right, doesn’t seem like they’re on this app.

My buddy got a piece of the carry as a senior accountant. Wasn’t that small of a fund.

like

why does everybody say that, ive seen some great roles that require fund experience, heck im in banking and wish i had fund experience

Hey OP, curious as well as I audit funds rn. What’s the usual pay range for FA? Would the progression from M1 to FA make sense?

Hello,

Currently, in accenture. I have had very bad billable hours and not much achievement this fiscal year. I am worried of getting fired, so i applied for another job. Got offered may be 5% above my current pay with 5k bonus, but in lower level at Deloitte. I think working lower level will give me more opportunities to learn as i think i have lot to learn. I made decision based on my gut and accepted the offer. I have not talked to anyone on accenture side yet. What you think?

Newly minted consultant here looking for financial advice.

So I just moved to consulting after B school, and It's more money than I've made my entire life. After paying for rent and living expenses, I have 6000$ left over every month. My student loan payments are about 1200/month at 7% interest. I still owe another 95K on my loan. I have the option to pay more every month and reduce my overall interest paid.
Currently I put about 3000 towards my loan and 3000 towards my savings. Cont'd...

My boyfriend and I make 200K combined and live in NJ. We have $1000 in monthly car payments combined. That’s all we owe. Our credit scores are in the 800s. We have 50K to put down on a home. We have done the math and I know we can afford much more but he doesn’t want to buy more than a 400K home. I’m almost positive we can afford 500K and be more than ok. But then he starts to talk about how much kids cost and how we will be house poor and we won’t be able to afford kids. 🤔 Am I insane??
