I wouldn't even mention the termination. Just say something along the lines you having learned all you could from your previous employer, and that it was time for you to go a different direction for more opportunities for growth and education in your field. Oh, and that you are grateful for having time you've and opportunity you've had with them. Never bash your previous employer, even if you hate them. It's a major red flag if you do.

100’s of thousands got laid off in the last few months and still more is coming . you could simply say you got laid off as they had a restructuring of multiple departments done . Your current company can’t disclose the reason or how you left .. I had asked people the same question because I’m still under the risk of getting laid off and wanted to see what I could say in my future interviews .. I’m sorry for what they did to you ! Micromanagement and then lay off is a lot to handle .. keep your spirits up , you will eventually find a better job ! Good luck to us
If they didn't provide a specific reason, I would say they laid you off.
