27yo that left consulting to go into real estate private equity. After 2 years of experience had to start at the analyst level and took a small paycut. Have an offer to now re-join consulting with a much higher salary 30k more at least. My PERE firm is small and it’ll probably take me 2-3 years to make those 30k back.
