Any good book recommendations on learning about real estate investing? Trying to avoid some of the more over the top, guru type books. Have been recommended Set For Life but have read reviews that it’s pretty basic and only really covers house hacking. TIA

Need help on how to invest. We are positioned to pay off our house later this year. Expect to work for another ~20 years. 401k fully funded and have some company stock investments maturing over the next few years, but no investments outside of that. Kids have a prepaid college plan for certain schools. Emergency fund is solid. Where should I look to start investing? I have fidelity for my 401k, would they be good to open a taxable investment account with, or are there better options?

I am defending an eviction for a client who has given possession of the property (as of Nov. 30). Plaintiff’s complaint has one claim – possession. They did request relief for attorney’s fees. NJT/Final Hearing commenced 10/27, was only 30 min and was therefore continued to 12/20. Plaintiff had counsel at that time but they are no longer represented.  I want to file something notifying Court that Plaintiff claim is now moot, making sure that judgment is not entered that hurts (cont'd)..

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. I like the Apple Card and considering opening one but want to see if there are better alternatives. It’s enticing that if I lose my card, I can instantly change the number so someone can’t use it. Plus no numbers means someone can’t randomly make a large fraudulent purchase.
