does EY have significantly more vacation to use than Deloitte? I would get 22 pto plus 3 personal plus 10 family sick leaves at EY. deloitte has only 23? that too it sounds against utilization
My wife is giving birth in a few months to our first child. Should I take the full 16 weeks? Four months seems like an extremely long time. What about utilization and bonus? Getting replaced in projects and initiatives?
Deloitte folks, how long does three background check normally take? (Assuming pretty generic profile, citizen, clean record, etc.) Trying to plan 2 week notice and vacation
The owners of our company like to do a holiday handout at Thanksgiving each year. They used to do a whole Thanksgiving meal (turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, pie). Last year there was a lack of available turkeys in the quantity we needed, so we switched it up and did a bottle of sparkling cider with a $25 gift card. This year the owners want to do something different but they are not sure what. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have about 300 employees in one location. Thanks!!
If you leave Accenture are you paid out any PTO? I know In California this is the case but I'm not sure what rules are for other states....
Looking to do an international trip next year with my girlfriend. Both around 26 yrs old. We’re kind of all over the map, from Croatia to Peru for spots to pick. Any suggestions? We don’t need a hostel type budget, but want to be frugal. Probably wouldn’t do a pure beach vacation, looking for some cultural experiences as well
Thoughts on "unlimited PTO" policies? I'm guessing it could be good, or terrible, depending on who's in charge of approving leave requests...
Any one been to "Puerto Vallarta" for a family vacation? Looking into destinations for traveling with wife and a one year old baby next month..
Not having any of your family around near you during holiday season is the worst. I’m living in Dallas but all of my family are still in Vietnam. And I can’t hang out with my friends either since they
Vacation planning question: nyc based. Euro trip planned. Planning to book train travel between paris brussels amsterdam online. Is there one site where I can book all travel well in advance?
How long did it take you to say you love your boyfriend? Maybe it’s the holiday season coming around but I’m finding myself getting close after only 4 months.
I saw a lot of women here rave about the Dyson Airwrap. Any holiday deals that you know of?

Considering leaving my firm due to having to work vacations. I have attempted to take two vacations since starting with my firm, and each time it has been scuttled due to partners giving me huge projects while I’m away. I have been super burnt out lately and needed a week away. Do your jobs respect your vacation time? How to do you set boundaries?
Does the workload lesson over time, or do you just get used to the longer hours? Hmmmm...
Hi! Everyone, I am a PhD turned consultant with 2 years at big 4. I was wondering if there are openings at MBB that I can apply to? I am a molecular biologist by training and do life sciences consulting in the cell and gene therapy domain.
How to apply for tech jobs in Europe from India? What's the best job search portal for that matter? And what are the chances of getting sponsored visa?
I tell myself that I've come to terms with my husband not being very thoughtful or helpful around the house. But I was sick last weekend and he didn't even unload the dishwasher or put away the laundry I'd already done, and when I asked him to help me by getting me drinks and stuff, he would tell me 'in a minute' because he was on his phone, and then he'd get to it eventually or forget. It's like, can you pretend to care just a little?
Currently working in Luxembourg as a Senior 2 in assurance and looking to switch to forensics in a big4 or other well regarded forensics firms (Kroll, FTI, A&M). I'm a licensed CPA and willing to relocate. I would appreciate a referral.
Hi, I'm starting a new role in couple of months. My peers at the new firm have reached out asking if I have any questions before I begin the role or If i need anything? How do you build relationships in these wfh times? What questions did you ask before joining the new role? Was it more around the job responsibilities? How do you set a personal rapport going forward?Facebook
I need help coming up with a creative title for my students. I teach job skills, and we basically act as volunteers in the building by completing various jobs like delivering mail and working in the cafeteria. We are known for this role so I want us to have an official title! We are the Spartans and we call our program “essential skills” if that helps! Most of my students have limited expressive language so I’m hoping to give them options and let them vote.
W hotel ceiling leaked all over my baggage drenching my business clothes. Need advice from experienced travelers on what to demand from management.
Hi D&A 🐟, I’ve been thinking of doing a career pivot from cyber security to data science. My current role is very technical and have experience with Python, PowerShell, AWS (SAA cert), Azure (Security Engineer cert in progress), and a bunch of other cyber security related technical skills. I have experience doing basic data analysis but not at the level of a data scientist. What would you recommend I do to gain these data scientist skills? I think the end goal would be to transition from cybe

Out of curiosity- are MBB and Big 4 sold out? I am hearing mixed reactions..ZS is fully sold, Deloitte is firing, Mck is more busy than ever before....what’s the word on the street
My husband and I have a huge combined family. They are also...well...loud. By loud I mean, laughing, debating, talking, all in good cheer. But sometimes arguments can erupt, and there's really no shortage of entertainment and sometimes drama. We're having a smaller gathering this year and wondering what's the best way to navigate all things COVID and health - we love to be close, hug, etc but I know everyone has different comfort levels and I want to be gracious and appease. What's your expert opinion? #QA
What does ‘financial stability’ mean to you? Is it a certain number in assets or income? Is it being debt free or on track to retire by a certain age?
Pet owners with insurance: what type of plan do you have (mix of deductible/reimbursement)? Is $1000 deductible/80% reimbursement reasonable Or is it worth it to pay higher premium for lower deductible?
Automatic red flag to have an engagement kickoff just before the holidays, receive emails at all hours of the day (to include weekends/holidays), be told there’s a lot to do but “it’ll be a great opportunity”, and then be told leadership wants people to prioritize work life balance? Figured I’d be looking for an exit soon, but this just pushed it up.
