You should look into an IUL I have two and it’s for my retirement and I’ll be able to retire my money in the future tax free
The thing about whole life insurance is that it does not give you much growth. It’s about 3-4% interest while the IUL that I have from Transamerica gives me a 13% cap and a .75% floor so yeah of course these aren’t investment tools but it gives me a safety net so I don’t worry about losing my money no matter how bad the economy gets you know what I mean? I mean I’m 22 and I’m saving a good amount monthly in my IUL accounts so I can retire with 1 million when I turn 65 and my parents also have a few of these for their retirement as well. But yeah I definitely recommend looking into it!
Manske Wealth Management specializes in that and has a favorable fee structure compared to NW Mutual and the larger shops
That’s helpful - thanks!
Are you maxing out HSA and 401k? If not, I'd do that first. I'd meet with an advisor once you can comfortably do both and have any needed savings accounts being filled.
Yes, assuming 401k, HSA, IRA are maxed out/some invested in brokerage and thinking about tax strategy in retirement. Looking for advisors that can help with that.
Don’t get an “advisor” at northwestern mutual and do not use life insurance as an investment or savings mechanism. Those are sales agents paid 100% on commission.
Get yourself a fiduciary or at the very least, get a CFP with a Series 66.
