Preferred office: silicon valley or SF?
I'll be joining tw as UI Lead, soon.
I'm a javascript/react developer since inception of my career & haven't worked much on CICD/JENKINS and similar technology.
Should I be worried that as a lead I don't know these and will it affect by job security?
Ps- I'm good at UI,js, react etc.

Experts please help.

We get a $50 gift card to Applebee's. Anyone interested? We can do dinner for 2 and have some leftover for a drink each at least. Or get our own molten lava cake so we don't have to share and clink spoons together.
I took 6 weeks of fto (flexible time off) last year, no questions asked. GT is great.
And to add to that: senior and above (those that already are senior and next promotion won't come for three years), are taking 6-7 weeks off and counting
Yep I've had about 6 weeks paid time off as well
Only $2,500? PwC pays $10K for seniors...
10k for a senior??? We only pay 10k for a partner
^2-5 weeks is nothing. PwC gets 25 PTO, which is 5 weeks. The unlimited PTO sounds great on paper, but in reality you don't take that much more than you would under normal policies. Also, under unlimited policies you don't accrue PTO. Therefore when you leave the firm, you've got no PTO balance that gets paid out. I'd much rather have my 25 days assigned that accrue. Let's be honest, seniors and above in large markets (NYC here) aren't taking more than 5 weeks of PTO anyways.
What office, how is the culture, how much is the bonus and are people really taking vacation under your new "unlimited" policy
I'm assuming any office. Just visit the career page to see if there is an opening in the city you want to work. I think the bonus is $2,500. It seems people are just taking the same number of vacation days as they did before the policy was implemented. Culture is something that helps us stand out. There has been a heavy focus on it these past few years.
I just completed my 1st year at GT. Had a discussion with a partner this morning and our new culture initiative is here to stay. They do a good job of equipping you with resources for you to further your own personal career. I know of a few seniors/managers who took off 4-6 weeks this year since the new unlimited PTO policy was enacted, and other associates are following the example.

How much for seniors?
Seniors at my firm are 8k
GT means unlimited FTO, and from the time analysis that was ran a week ago, no one is shy in taking FTO, even first years. I have noticed the FTO people are taking ranges from 2-5 weeks for the most part with a few outliers.
