I’ve already tried going through as many contacts that I know of in the groups I’m interested in.

I’m trying to make a jump from PwC manager (8 YOE) in Cyber, Risk & Reg into a project management or program management role on the business side (bus ops or strategy). My background is in information systems and business IT operations/contracting.

Transitioning from com. lit into tax controversy?

I have a tax LLM and started my career out of law school doing M&A tax at a big4. After 9 months, I got out of big4 transactional hell and into whatever litigation I could find. I now practice commercial lit but would welcome the opportunity to eventually transition into tax controversy (which I wasn’t able to do before). Does my commercial litigation “break” hurt my prospect? How long can I stay in com lit without hurting my chances even more?

Hi Fellow Fishes! I need some urgent advice. I had accepted a job offer at a really good company with a good role and team. I am due to start that new job on Monday 30th Aug. Now the thing is I have a better job offer from one of my dream companies-i would be really stupid not to take that offer. So I would be declining the job at the first company just 2 days before i am supposed to start! I know its a good problem to have but a very unpleasant conversation with them.
