Hi All. We are a small general practice firm (Corp, RE, litigation, land use and zoning, tax, media and entertainment, etc.) with 3 offices in NY and people licensed in NY, CT, NJ, MA and PA. All former Big Firm people. Let us know if we can help anyone here in the NorthEast! Www.bnrllp.com
Hi Fishes, Any senior staff engineer here, role associate project manager at Nagarro. I would like to know more details about project allocation and work you do. I recently got selected as one. I can see a lot of heat from developers against nagarro here but what about mid level management such as associate project manager!??
TIA
How much yearly hike can one expect at Société Générale ?
"Depends on performance" seems to be a very vague answer.
Can someone please elaborate on a better answer.
Also, Can someone shed some light on promotions?
Is there any policy, like you have to work for X years to be eligible for promotion etc.
Thanks in advance.

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Ex McK here. When I was around, candidates had to clear the bar. And we could hire more people than target if we did really well or fewer people if the candidates didn't meet that bar.
Now, exceptions do happen, especially in some international offices and things can change.
The feedback you got could be for other reasons. Just someone who's not good at giving feedback. Or there could be something else that they don't want to bring up and they end up saying something vague. Honestly, it's all speculation and you won't gain anything from going down that rabbit hole. Although you can always ask if they would welcome you as a candidate in the future.
No, sticking to the rubric and debiasing was supposed to prevent us from hiring too many people "we liked because they happen to look like us," which is a problem.
There were diversity targets for the firm but that was managed through outreach and cultivation to increase the pipeline and never factored in the individual assessments.
BCG told me I passed the final round but the office I interviewed for was full. They asked me to go do a final round at a different office - that interview felt like a formality and I got the offer for there.
It’s partially true. If someone was truly stellar we would probably extend an incremental offer most seasons and there is discretion. Not impossible that you did “good enough” but those spots were filled (and had you interviewed earlier in the process it could have been someone else in your position)
This is true. There usually an expectation to spike/shine in at least one area.
Back when I applied I had a convo with recruiter on this. Bar to clear is the same, but if we are at/above target unless you’re stellar we’ll probably pass
