Does anyone have experience working for a ALSP? How does compensation work (pay and benefits)? Are you an employee or technically an IC? Do you have billable requirements like at a firm? Is it common for your firms to give dec/Jan promotions? Seems like it’s mostly for seniors passing CPA to become manager. Could potentially help if I ever pass CPA.

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.

Compliance email might as well just say: We hope you are all in compliance with our very strict "You aren't allowed to have a good body" busy season restriction.
