Could anyone kindly tell me about the Investment Management and Private Equity Audit Group at Deloitte? 1. Work Life Balance (Is it worst than the ordinary Big 4 WLB?) 2. Is it an entirely different audit from commercial/retail audits (think account balances etc.) 3. Difficult to learn how to audit clients in this industry without prior experience in the industry?(been doing commercial audits for 3 years) 4. Are there relatively good exit opportunities for this audit group? Deloitte PwC EY

Who are they hiring and which group? New hire or experienced hire? If new hire in client serving group, you should already know the answer considering the up or out model of Big 4.
Sounds like some good opportunities available at PwC for the recent EY layoffs though....
Both. But I was referring to experienced hires. I’ve seen a few postings that they are recruiting for seniors
Yeah but those are people who don’t want to be auditors, hence they moved out of audit. You run the risk of assigning them so they can “keep their job” but they start looking externally and are not at all invested in the success of the team they get assigned to. Could be better to hire someone in who wants to be an auditor (at least in the short term), and who has been doing the job recently, and frankly who you are going to pay less.
This how big 4 works. Turnover is expected, paying higher salaries is not whay they do. Want to pay you as little as they can since most people leave within 5 years, so why give them loyalty raises/bonus
They cast a wide net. They may not be hiring, but they'll look at anybody willing to send them a resume regardless.
It is based on need. My office isn’t hiring any experienced hires and we need new associates because our current ones suck. Well I guess and turnover and whatever.
