Anyone have experiences with a hiring freeze? I went through the interview process for a firm and got the verbal offer and ultimately, got informed that because of market conditions, they had to reassess and they're in a freeze. Anyone have experience with this or know if once they're hiring again, I can easily go through the approval process? My recruiter had said this could take months but I'd be ok with it

Very firm dependent. I passed interviews at Google and had to wait for 2 months during their freeze and reprioritization to eventually get an offer.

If you're waiting on Meta or a startup, that could be a completely different situation. If they're hiring again, you would get the offer as usual, though the start date could be late. If they don't prioritize the role, then you could be out of luck.

I would not stop interviewing elsewhere.

I definitely don't plan on that being my only option, and I'm going to try to interview elsewhere. Is this a situation where they would hit me back up once they're hiring again or would I have to reach out (monthly) so that they know I'm interested still.

It sounds like D? If yes I am on same page as well waiting for approvals

Good luck! I got informed they don't even know when, so I plan on just reconnecting monthly until next year

What role you looking for? No hiring freeze here, hiring like crazy still

This one specifically was for Salesforce consultant, but I suppose any consultant/BA position

I've a question on what sections to put on a regular resume. I see some people are using consulting style resume for outside companies as well. This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow? I am a top performer, with great metrics, and I have some wonderful connections I’ve made who support me. I just can’t seem to move up. How long did it take you to move up? How many tries did it take?

Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.
