Folks, I've recently moved to the U.S. and healthcare here is a maze, even if I have health coverage through the job. I've been wanting to see a therapist and it feels like it is quite expensive to see one. I'm on a HDP PPO plan and essentially I was told I pay $250 a session till I spend ~$7000, and then insurance copay kicks in. Seriously at a loss if I'm missing something or if folks spend the same on seeing a therapist. I'm curious as to how a lot of folks are able to afford the price tag.

Covid has been hard. March 2029- December 2020 I drank a lot to cope without realizing it. January- March I didn't realize I was depressed. March I came to terms with increase and ongoing suicidal ideation and needed help.

I went into a intensive outpatient program (IOP) which has been super helpful.

During the beginning of covid I drank every day and in a great deal. January it was a "dry" month which was hard the first week but overall great.

March 2021 realized I'm clinically depressed.

Anyone talk to a Muslim therapist? Muslim matters because I’d like to talk about marital issues, and not sure others will get the religious context. NYC preferred. TIA!

Hi Fishies, I’m 32yrs old and went with IVF due to male factor. I had 5AA t/f(modified FET) on 11/07, today (11/16)I had blood work, nurse told HCG level is: 168.5, and will be checking again on 11/18, to see if HCG is raising. Is this good value? I received a job offer from company A and am currently negotiating salary. I have an interview with company B next week and know that they offer a higher base pay. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me. Should I accept the offer from company A, continue interview process with company B and then rescind my offer with company A if company B offers me a job? Will I be burning bridges?

Under contract to buy my first home - house hacking a triplex. Property has been leased by the same three tenants for the last 5+ yrs, rents haven’t been raised since they moved in. Market rents have risen 70-100% in the same timeframe. All seem like ideal tenants (retired and take great care of the units) but I’d like advice on how to approach the rent increase conversation. Rents don’t make/break my mortgage payment but I’m leaving a lot on the table if I don’t increase significantly.
