I did this jump a little over 10 years ago. I made the mistake of leaning on my tech experience for a quicker exit which led me to get stuck working for outsourcing firms like Accenture and IBM. Lean on your industry experience instead when exiting. Of the offers you have A&M would be the only one I’d consider. If you still have a clearance, why not try Microsoft Services, GCP CE, or AWS Pro Serve? Pay packs are way better than Consulting especially for cleared people.
Oh nice I had no idea
A&M PEPI will likely be your best bet (had offers between Big4 and Aerospace)
I worked at P&W several years ago but made the switch via b school.
Of the offers you have I think A&M is the best one although I personally wouldn't work there.... Just don't like the type of work they do and didn't like the people when I recruited with them during my MBA.
Lol, we are very certainly not an outsourcing firm. Interim roles that our people take on are almost exclusively at the C-level within our clients, and typically when those clients are under duress or amidst significant transformation. The most famous example of this would of course be when Tony Alvarez (founder and co-CEO) took over as interim CEO of Lehman Brothers and led them throughout the largest bankruptcy in the history of the American economy.
Made the jump from Lockheed to EYP. I’m not sure a SM to SA would really be worth it but definitely more growth in consulting. The jump to manager will probably be difficult because my experience in consulting has been much more intense then my time in industry
Assuming the A&M PEPI position is to specialize in the A&D vertical?
I’m at A&M and I’m not in that vertical but spent considerable time at a competitor to P&W before coming to A&M. Feel free to DM me
Pro
A&M PEPI is where I would go. I have a friend there and he loves it
A&M 100%
Pay, career trajectory, industry alignment.
I would love to pivot to PW, want to trade? I’m not another random wanting to jump out of consulting and would gladly work the company that made the JT8D and JT9D. ✈️ ❤️
