I have received offer from Wipro which is little above than the offer that I am holding but fixed pay is less. Thinking of rejecting Wipro offer. Is it better to reject or accept and then not join. Also if I reject, will there be any issue like they won't consider me in future?Tata Consultancy Wipro Cognizant Infosys

We did it. We moved to Charlotte, grand parents are in Ohio. It has made time with the grandparents special. We are close to the beach and the mountains and we have a hub airport and great cost of living!
We did it as well and actually moved from Minneapolis because the winters just became too much. Moved to DC and love being close to mountains and beaches. Flight back to Mpls is only a couple of hours and make good weekend trips to see family
Moved from Chicago to Atlanta twenty years ago and never regretted it. I couldn't stand the winters there and ATL cost of living is much better. However, my folks were not in Chicago so that wasn't a concern. I agree it gets harder as you become more established in a community. I'm not sure I could move elsewhere until my kids are out of the house in a few years.
Where do you live in MN? Moved here 18 months ago just before our first was born, and am loving it. Lifestyle is one of the perks of living in South Mpls. Cold is... well, it's cold. But I'm ok with that.
DD1- I do love MN, grew up here, I just wish there were mountains and shorter winters so I could golf more. And I wish I could get in a car and see other places (accessible).
Yeah, I can understand that. I guess my experience with people from MN is that they move away after college, but move back when they start a family. Feels very tightly coupled. I'm sure your kid(s) will be fine, but not sure your parents will be ok with it.
As for me, neither my wife nor I have previous connections to MN, so in some ways it was a gamble that paid off. My parents were fairly nomadic all their lives (founded a marketing agency, so were all over) and my wife's parents live in a place without a major airport, so it wasn't like we really had much of an option to live near either. Also, NYC didn't feel right for raising a family. Not only because of COL. MN has been good to us.
