Hi i lost majority of my money in the stock market. I married and promised my family that I will not make the mistake I made 7 years ago. Gambling. Is this an addiction I have. I keep selling stocks and taking loses buying other stock hoping it will recover but never did and sell again taking loses and buy again. It now sink in to me. Where to check whether it has been approved by CTS ?

My spouse and I are filing taxes for the first time; I'm a US citizen earning $100k, he's a non-US resident who made $20k last year. We have no children, but I have $300k in student loans and am on the Income Based Repayment plan. I know if I file "married jointly" then the tax savings will outweigh the potential increase in IBR payments, but I also know that my husband will likely be earning much more over the next few years.

How often can I switch my filing status? Will IBR accept it?
