I am deputed at the client office. I use PSL laptop only to check mails. But in my last appraisal my manager told me that I need to get 60 credit points for promotion. But due to client work load, i won't be able to do that. So, I have resigned from PSL mentioning the same that promotion will not happen.
But my manager told me that he will try to give me a promotion in next cycle (ignoring the credit points clause). He is asking me to withdraw resign
Shall I withdraw my resign? Persistent

MBA --> Booz --> McKinsey
Know people who have
@MCK1 how's your experience differed between the two firms?
I made a few long posts about this in another thread. I'll summarize. McK is better. More support services (experts, visual graphics, statisticians/analytics resources, better knowledge/document library, digital people who will code stuff for you, etc.), better culture (never talk about selling work, all about client impact, very values driven), better projects (higher level, greater breadth of topics, more international if you want it) and faster promotion/raises (I've been through 2 reviews at McK. I got the highest grade possible both times (distinctive) and got over 30% comp increase first time, and exactly 30% second time). Hours are similar. If you have a specific question let me know.
Thinking about making a similar move (M7 MBA --> Deloitte --> MBB)...would love to connect offline if at all possible. Could create a temporary gmail account.
Sure man. Tough part is why switch? When I was at Booz I was less motivated because everything was going well. The PwC acquisition made it easy. For you, what's the story? You'll lose some time in rebuilding relationships and stuff. Assuming you don't suck you should be developing partner and client relationships by now you don't want to lose.
Why switch for me would be 1) better projects 2) better comp and 3) better exit opportunities
