Hi everyone,
I have a total 9+ work ex in Devops and Release Management. Did an executive mba with a goal of breaking into Program management but got recruited into Management Consulting . In this company for the past 3 months.
I feel that my overall skills are better off in a TPM/Program Management role.
My overall experience makes me eligible for most PM roles.
My question is how do I prep for a TPM role since I don’t have development or Scrum Master exposure. Amazon India VMware BrowserStack Inc.

Sought after - yes.
Rewarded/compensated the same way as in tech - no.
Oh, interesting. So you think big tech companies always have higher comp compared to consulting firms? I sort of assumed it would be similar.
I’ve never seen a technical person good at managing a team or growing business
Elon Musk would disagree

It depends
All big 4, Accenture, IBM, McKinsey and BCG would be interested in technical experts in hot areas. However, you're still in consulting. Advancement to the very top will be about sales, not technical expertise. There are some technical expert tracks, but my understanding is that these have a lower career ceiling compared to sales focused partner tracks.
At Deloitte, even the technical track is still very focused on sales at the management levels, but isn't eligible for becoming a partner.
