Went back to finish my BS at age 42, continued on to get my MS at age 48, after spending my entire life in hospitality. Happily in a finance related role in the federal government now.

Nope - seen it done - lady in her latest 40s went from Cashier to CPA and makes 6 figures now.
it’s never too late my friend, not until you’re in the ground. Chase your dreams if you have the means.
Sorry, respectfully but strongly disagree. No employer will hire and think that is legit. They look for degrees and experience. And not everyone is cut out to open their own business.
No. If you wanna learn something there is no age
Nope, been in AP/AR for 15 years and starting my MBA this summer.
It’s never too late. Started in wealth management at 31. It’s been several years and just finishing up my CFP.
At 31 everything is fine
Never too old..always taking courses and I am in 50s.
Nope. I just started my EE degree and I’m 29 while doing FT work
The opposite. More "seasoned" juniors are always outperforming as long as they understand that for this role they are juniors. Just remember that under normal circumstances (cases where your dad is not the owner), finance is for really smart and hard working people. If you feel it describes you, then go for it. The age is not an issue.
Never too old to learn and switch. I am
Working on my second Masters degree in accounting. Working towards a CPA and set my own business.
It’s much harder when u are out on your own.
Depending on the program, you have to work in the day and school at night. Weekends to study, no social life or sleep. Health would be shot. Add to that kids, aging parents, and Al the other demands of life. If u are single, esp. w kids, good luck. Lol. Can’t say it is COMPLETELY impossible, but for many it isn’t.
No, I'm 34 and will graduate with a BBA in general business and MBA in finance in May. My 5 year anniversary with Merrill is in May and I have 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. Follow through with what you want to accomplish and where you want to be.
34 is young
I currently work as a fund accountant and I’m thinking about going back to school for finance/ accounting.
I have a degree in a science and I was wondering if it made sense to get another bachelors degree. Anything helps! Ty
You’re never too old for Koolaid
It’s relative. If you have the means, drive, mental capacity, and health, sure I suppose. Go for it! But u are faced with diminishing returns the older you get. For instance, If u graduate from college at age 85, what’s the point other than to feel really good about yourself, and have a family that’s really proud of you. Very risky and expensive bucket list item.
Made a career change from association management to financial advisor at the age of 51. Got my CFP whenever I was 54. Started my own RIA when I was 60. Still going at 68 and will be for a couple more years.
If you are ready and willing to take the steps then nothing is going to stop you. Career and education we can pursue and change throughout our lives if we have will power to do it. I have done it.
Ideally no. But practically, it depends on the mindset of the individual.
