I'd like to partially retire by 40
Still going at 67, not sure I want to go anymore
By my projections/calculations, work should be optional by 45.

Probably 70 but my husband and I have prioritized traveling more in our younger age which we knew had trade offs.
seventy five , in about three years .. I got a late start, getting an MS in Comp Sci at age 64
I'm not sure what you think an "Engineering income" is but £35-55k isn't much better than average, so 67-70.

I am shooting for 65 or so. I’d love to retire sooner but I took out so many student loans in college so that’s taken forever to pay off. In my mortgage is not timing. So I’m not putting away as much in my retirement account as I was hoping I would have by now

Time has a way of changing plans. I am looking around late 50’s to be retiring, however I have been considering starting something else when that time comes. Definitely different, not sure if it would officially be starting my own business or just focusing on side things. I just know I still want to have something to do.
High tech firms like to layoff to make shareholders happy. Better to be in the medical field.
