Unless you're talking about the bar exam that involves shots. Then that exam.
It's all just memorization and applying yourself.
I think CPA is probably easier since you get to split it up into 4 parts and take each separately. Really makes the studying more focused and easier.
If someone else is paying, I'll take any exam.
You can do neither and make 6 figures in finance with less experience and education(time)
Spoken like a true lawyer. Congrats on passing.
CPA=job=6 figures w/6 yrs of exp
Top law firms pay 6 figures right out of school.
^ya but CPA is 4 separate exams. You only study 1 topic at a time. Isn't Bar two days in a row and you've got to study all sections at once?
CPA exam is almost all multiple choice. Bar (at least Texas bar) is not. Bar is undoubtedly more difficult.
Why not both! I had 2 lawyers with CPAs tell me that studying for the CPA exam help with how they study for the Bar
CPA exam was hard, too. I failed one part & had to retake it. That sucked.
^ya failed one part and retook just one part. If that was the Bar you'd have to retake the entire exam.
Also the bar exam costs about $200K more and requires an additional 2 years of schooling, so I'd have to give it the edge in difficulty. CPA way better economically though (unless you're at a top 20 law school)
^even top 20 law school can't always get you the 6 figure starting job necessarily (not bottom 10% of class, by "top 20" I mean top 12)
Top law firms?! Salary is known and you can look that up. 6 figures is very doable
And CPA is only 6 figures in larger markets. Mid markets aren't paying audit managers $100K
BAR exam >>> CPA exam
I've had both tell me bar was easier. It's a 2 day exam. CPA is 4
Bar is easier for sure
