Patrick O’Brien “Master and Commander”, the entire Aubrey/Maturin series is good historical fiction Cixin Liu “Three Body Problem” series is good, but very dark as it goes on Dan Kahneman “Thinking Fast, and Slow” is a well written behavioral econ intro

Spent quarentine reading the best fantasy of our generation: the works of Brandon Sanderson. If interested start with Mistborn: the Final Empire. The premise: the hero goes to defeat the evil villian and loses. The world is then ruled by an evil immortal God-King for a thousand years. The story picks up during his rule.

Mistborn trilogy is amazing thus far!! On the second book now

Some non-consulting non-fiction good ones that I have enjoyed recently...Midnight in Chernobyl, bad blood, American Heiress, Shantaram

Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. You’re welcome. Just don’t ask about it book 3

So disappointed in Rothfuss. Didn’t realize he was kind of a dick, until I did some research on Doors of Stone and the august 2020 rumors. Still worth reading the first two. But 9 years.... shaking my damn head. Manuscript has been written since 2013!

Hi ladies! Question for you all: do you have any tools/books that you recommend for career planning? Now that we are in QT and not traveling I would like to sit down and try to get more focus and clarity on what I want out of my career and beyond. Prior to consulting, I was involved in non-profits, professional development networks, etc. and that has dwindled due to the adjustment in consulting and would like start developing myself that way. Any recommendations? TIA.
