Wait, I pay $60 biweekly for my own health insurance. Is this not normal?
It's a pretty easy lifestyle. My clients think im an excel God, I work 40 hrs a week, and I have zero stress in my life. I pay 45 bi monthly for all insurance combined. Pay is OK compared to amount of hours actually worked. No travel, no airports, 6% 401k match. 5k in education bucks per year to pursue certs/degrees.
Wow that sounds awesome! How do I get in on that?
I worked in govt at Booz for too long. As Deloitte 1 said, started going downhill after going public and hasn't stopped. Insurance may be cheap, but from what i hear that's bc it's a 3k high deductible. Depending on the team and your career manager, the end of that govt contract might mean 2 weeks to find a new project or you get the ax. BAH people tend to be good, but your govt clients will likely be functional know nothing admins. Be careful if you're a female too - it's a boys club at the top. Not too seem too negative bc I did learn a lot there and still have friends there, it just changed a ton for the worse.
Much easier. Almost consistently 40hr weeks until you move up in ranks. Pay isn't as great but it's also steadier
Why does she pay her own? Like full? It's pretty normal to have to pay a part of your insurance premium. The insurance options are not bad at all for BAH at least compared to other defense firms
BAH insurance was good until they went public, then benefits and perks went to shit. I would stay away if I was you. Upward growth is tough there, they lock employees into markets(i.e. Defense, National agencies, etc...), not by your skill sets. Tis why I just left ✌🏻️
Do federal or defense contracts
Need to hop on that train
