Can someone from EY please give a basic hierarchy of their position levels? I’m currently at C level within Consulting and want to make sure I’d be coming in at the right level

C level would roughly be a senior or senior 2 position at EY

like

Roughly:
Staff = years 1 and 2
Senior = years 3 - 5
Manager = 6 - 8/9
Senior Manager = 8/9 to god knows when

Here are the typical roles and length of time in each for a new hire out of college with no MBA as per my experience.

Staff consultant 2 yrs, Senior Consultant 2-4 yrs, Manager 3-6 yrs, Senior Manager (2 yrs +), AP / Partner

like

Staff-2 years, Senior—typically 2-4 years. So most Deloitte Cs and some SCs would be EY seniors

You can definitely make Senior Consultant After 1 yr. do 1-2 yrs as senior and make manager through an expedited track. Hell I did that before jumping to PwC as a Manager. Instead of comparing titles, look at the job responsibilities

Does Associate = Staff?

Topic: interviews

Is it appropriate to follow up after interviews to ask why you were not selected? And/or ask for feedback so that you can develop and improve professionally?

I've had SEVERAL interviews since February, and I keep getting rejected and it's starting to leave me feeling discouraged. I've been in my current position for just over 3 years and in the industry for around 4 years and have a bachelor's in Legal Studies. The positions I've applied to all vary in nature.

Hi all 👋 Looking for some advice. I’m in the latter stages of building my sustainable fashion platform and need investment to get it over the line and complete the product. This investment would be for development and the first batch of paid ads. Would any of the fishbowl community be able to connect me relevant sources/ links/ people?

Moving on from Hotels (Hospitality)?

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, but it is very to commit to actually accept a new job offer since I really do love my job. My only complaint is, the pay vs workload is very small. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.

Should I move on and go to a different industry? Opinions are welcome! Thanks in advance.

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?
