Can someone from EY please give a basic hierarchy of their position levels? I’m currently at C level within Consulting and want to make sure I’d be coming in at the right level

Graduated undergrad from target liberal arts December 2021. Currently at RIA firm (~7 mos). Don't have any IB internship experience but seriously interested in breaking in. Have a very expansive network in finance/NYC. Significant work ethic but internship experience honestly a little weak. Any and all insight on how realistic this next move might be is greatly appreciated. Cheers.

Is it appropriate to follow up after interviews to ask why you were not selected? And/or ask for feedback so that you can develop and improve professionally?

I've had SEVERAL interviews since February, and I keep getting rejected and it's starting to leave me feeling discouraged. I've been in my current position for just over 3 years and in the industry for around 4 years and have a bachelor's in Legal Studies. The positions I've applied to all vary in nature.

Are any American consultants working in the middle east? Currently, trying to make the transition myself! Grew up in America, but my whole families from the middle east, so I want to do it for a couple of years.

How would I go about this process? Should I join a firm first, then make the transition?

When it comes to salary and title, what constitutes experience? Do internships count? A previous job that wasn't in advertising but relied heavily on writing skill? How about two years of ad school?

I’d appreciate book recommendations that would help someone in a technical delivery role improve their soft skills to aid with business development. I’d like to do more solution sales architect work and do a better job at driving growth with my clients.

Has anyone lateraled or knows anyone who lateraled from a life sciences firm to the life sciences practice at a more generalist firm? If so, where? Thanks!

Although I know you don’t need to pass the patent bar to “technically” do patent litigation, would it be a dead end move to pursue patent litigation without a technical degree / admission to the patent bar? In other words, would most BL firms refuse to staff associates on patent litigation cases if they don’t have a technical degree?

I have a new job offer closer to home and higher salary. The new employer wants me to start asap. I will not be able to provide a full 2 weeks notice. What should I do. I feel really bad leaving my current employer with only 1 week notice. Any suggestions?

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile now, but it is very to commit to actually accept a new job offer since I really do love my job. My only complaint is, the pay vs workload is very small. I’m a manager now and my property offered me a director position… but the salary is still low! To make six figures, it’ll take another 5-6 years to grind it out.

Should I move on and go to a different industry? Opinions are welcome! Thanks in advance.

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

Deloitte s&a - which offering has higher overall comp, base, bonus - strategy or analytics and cognitive a&c? Have both options available … to come in at SC level. I’m not so technical but analytics aligned, so I would think the ai and data strategy roles within strategy. Or anything a&c and just know I’m less technical. Which way if I’m trying to follow the $$ and exit ops?

Curious for thoughts on this trajectory- from 60K out of UG in a non-advisory service line to 95K as SA1 in Strategy in 3 years. Feels low for strategy, but not sure given where I started. NYC based

I have an offer from EY. They rejected my counter offer for a higher salary but accepted my counteroffer for a higher sign on bonus. They gave me a few more days to think about the new offer. I want to know how likely would they be willing to renegotiate if I tell them I still want something closer to my original counter offer.

Marketing strategy consulting - how bad is it for work life balance?
I’ve done consumer/shopper insights, brand management/activation/innovation and looking for a new role and I keep seeing consulting gigs at big firms. Anyone know if work life balance exists since it’s marketing? Or is it crazy hours?
I’m also assuming pay is pretty high vs client side?
