I have a contact who is a hiring mgr at a company I want to work for. He told me he has an open role for me and set me up with 6 interviews over a 2 week period. We recently got the ok to schedule our orientation and delivery date for our IVF medications and all I have to say is ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF! My husband has dermatomyositis, and his doctor put off treatment so that we could do some collection and go through IVF. I felt like my dr was blowing off our timeline, but I persisted. I worked with CVS Caremark directly and got approval in 2 days (not the expected 3 weeks). Moral of the story: ADVOCATE FOR YOURSELF!

So I’m in my second trimester. Everything has come back normal and great. Anatomy scan went beautifully. Now I’m getting cramps really low in my left side that I would say are like a 6-7 on pain scale and they’re like every few minutes. I don’t think they’re Braxton hicks it feels more like period cramps I’ve experienced before. Anyone else experience this? Is it normal? Can I take something for the pain?

I'm getting a good offer from Coforge, which is 15 lac more than my current in Deloitte. In D, I've been tagged into a run the business kind of project, with not much innovation, but slightly complex in Salesforce. I don't have any interest in this domain. I'm confused bcoz it's been just a year in D, I joined D in an hope to climb the corporate ladder, get good exposure, none of which is happening - negativity about job security in Coforge, though SF jobs are plenty.

I'm part of Deloitte USI advisory but basically involved in systems implementation mainly ERP's. How is this treated as an experience say if we eventually want to shift to strategy consulting after 3-4 years of Total W.E.

Heart attacks for folks under the age of 40 is getting so common. Where are we headed? Why is there so much stress in the world? Just received a new of one of the former senior manager passed away due to a massive heart attack. Early 40s. I am at loss of words. Such a genius of a guy. Amongst the most hard working people I have come across. I still can’t believe the news. Cannot even fathom what his family might be going through.

Is it good to switch from Deloitte to a mid tier firm like Brillio/Coforge/EPAM/Nagarro etc. ?

I mean I like the consulting culture and benefits, though sometimes onsite are lower..

I'm in a situation where I don't want to switch more, At least in the next 4-5 years I want to build my career and have a decent work life balance as well.

I would have probably preferred to stayback in Deloitte US or go to Consulting firms like KPMG/EY/Huron/Protivitti. May be lucky not working at this time.
