Steak, a few non starchy veggies. Burger no bun. Fish no sides. Dry red wine. Vodka soda. Cheese plate dont eat crackers. Etc
It’s easy. 50lbs down and counting. Pick up packs of jerky or beef sticks and pork rinds. It’s honestly not hard to do Keto at all
All that and quest bars/premier protein shakes to help hit protein targets. Chipotle bowl of Chicken/Steak, Sour Cream, Cheese, and Guac

Keto is incredibly easy when going to a restaurant
Find a protein you like, find a vegetable, and combine. Just be careful to avoid the industrial seed oils (“vegetable” oils) that are often in salad dressings, “olive oil”, and sauces
The first 2 weeks will be the hardest. I know when I’m in ketosis because my appetite drops to a fraction of what I’d normally eat!
Most of the time I don’t have any problem sticking to keto when eating out, but it can be a little more difficult when we do “tapas” style/shared team dinners or sushi. I’ve gotten comfortable just ordering separately or grabbing an extra serving off a keto friendly plate and leaving an extra portion of a non-keto friendly food!
Having keto snacks (almond butter, jerky, pumpkins seeds, ketomana, quest bars/cookies, wisps) is very helpful - especially at the airport when I don’t have time for a meal but need a snack!
I’ve been traveling for over a year on Keto — some ideas:
- Steak / fish / chicken with brussels sprouts, cauliflower, zucchini, mushrooms, or broccoli
- Sandwich in a lettuce wrap (eg, Jimmy John’s unwich)
- Bunless burger
- Fajitas w/guac, sour cream, salsa
- Carne asada
- Ceviche
- Entree salad with a meat or fish
- Greek kabobs with grilled hallumi cheese
- BBQ without sauce — brisket, pulled pork, etc
- BYO pizza (get butter instead of tomato sauce, all the toppings slide right off the crust)
- Grilled chicken w/pesto and mozzarella
- BYO wok bowl w/meat and veggies only
- Korean BBQ (no marinated meats)
- Poke bowls
- Brazilian steakhouses
