Currently a 6th year. I started in-house as a privacy lawyer. I ended up moving to big law privacy/cyber practice. Not sure if I want to stay at a firm and become partner or go back in-house. I like both paths for different reasons. Curious for others perspectives. I have a big tech company I used to work for heavily recruiting me to come back but I’m just not sure which direction to go.

I’d go back. In-house the issues are much more interesting in my experience. But big law money is big law money.

Started in-house, went into big law, left after a year and back in-house and happier than ever

Been in house since before the pandemic. I went in house to have more control over my life/schedule and be able to spend time with my kids. Pre-kids, life in BigLaw was manageable but not great for marital harmony. If a spouse/kids were not an issue for me, I’d probably still be in BigLaw and probably a partner somewhere by now. I think you should figure out what about each option appeals to you and is more aligned with where you want to be in your life/career in 5 or 10 years. There’s no right answer.

Working at a Digital Marketing Agency based out of Cochin with presence in USA & Canada, we cater to clients from India, US, UK, EU.
I'm the main POC for our largest client in India in FMCG, and it's our 4th year without a challenge. I'm one step below CXos of the company and two others are in the same level as me. We have a couple of junior execs. I make 53.8k per month now, I wanted to know if I'm getting underpaid or this is the best salary I can expect elsewhere in the region.
