I have been interviewed and selected for a role in EY UK. The status of my job application is “congratulations on receiving an offer from EY”.
However I have not received any email yet.
Can someone confirm which team sends the final offer coz the HR is saying that he has processed everything from his side.??EY
Hi Fishes,
I am at a career standpoint where i am really confused what to do.
I have 4+ yoe in RPA .I really dont think its sustainable as a career .I am willing to learn and move into something different.
But what i am really confused is how would i manage to switch jobs without any prior experience?
I already earn 13-15 lpa,why would anyone offer me same level of package without experience?
People who do a successful career switch, please share your stories. In need of some motivation

If you’d like a benchmark, I can share my recent experience transitioning from Deloitte implementation to SE role at a tech company. Was in similar boat with 7 years, no sales experience beyond proposals/consulting pitches, ~$175K total comp. Took offer for $140 base, $200 OTE, $10K signing, $130K RSUs over 4 years, plus stock options. Puts me around $250 all in. The gap could be due to the Bay Area adjustment.
If you are a top performer at Accenture, you have a lot to offer in terms of client service experience and the post sales view. Companies are begging for talent right now, so you have the upper hand and could keep applying to SE roles to get that better offer. But if you are remote in a cheaper locale, maybe take this offer. Always ask for signing bonus, it’s not base, but it’s better than nothing and they have the money!
Good luck and hope this isn’t too late!!
Aha a bit late but I really appreciate it still. I’m in DC so MCOL/HCOL. Should have asked for a signing bonus but aside from that, relatively happy. They expect their next funding round in Q2 to minimum 5x (based on their competitor) so the options will be worth ~250k.
I just needed an opportunity to get out of the niche PaaS platform I’m in and hopefully jump in a year or two and crank up the OTE.
Looks solid. I’d ask for more stock though. Which company is this?
Bumped it to 185k base and 45k stock. Think it’s commensurate for someone without presales experience?
185 ote*
It isn’t super easy to get your first SE job without pre sales experience, so I’d say this is solid comp and you can build your experience over the next 2 - 5 years and then jump to the next role for a big salary increase. Good luck!
Hey OP, can i DM you for some advice?
